I'd rather we didn't budge on the 2 years personally.

How many other clubs would be looking at ROB ??

That we have anything on the table suggests all our enquiries have fallen flat. It’s not just about others wanting him, we need a realistic replacement, which it’s doubtful we have.

I doubt that's the case, it's the "take it or leave it" contract.

We wouldn't do that to a club leader, it's not in our MO

Maybe, there is a chance that we’ve offered him a backup ruck level contract. But we’d need to be confident in a replacement turning up. And don’t forget this is a contending period, we’ll be keeping dead wood as depth.

What is Erasmus from Fremantle like? Was he a pure mid in juniors?
High draft pick struggling to get into the ones.
Would he be worth a look?

Some things from SEN today from Tom Morris

Reilly O’Brien (Adelaide): “I think he’s making Adelaide work for it a bit. I think he stays but I’m not confident on that."
Sam Draper (Essendon): “Free agent, I’m saying stay."
Nasiah Wanganeen-Milera (St Kilda): “We’ll know by halfway through the year. I think the family pull is so strong that it’s more likely he heads back to South Australia. But I’m not sure he’s even made his mind up yet. He’s very close to Jason Horne-Francis at Port Adelaide. Adelaide are heavily in for him. I’d be guessing between those two.”
Wow, I guess we're lucky we're one of the two he's guessing between

Leek Aleer height isn't a concern at all given his prodigious leap and strong body....however his kicking has been a very big worry, No AFL draftee has ever got near his running vertical jump record. Also has a 75cm standing vertical jump under his belt. If we did recruit him hopefully we'd have a smaller running defender running by for the handball.

Given we play obrien, we aren’t concerned at all about being able to kick.

Well at least he doesn't need an oxygen tent after half time like your mate Keiran. 😝
McAndrew is now more relevant.

Happy with ROB'S form...

Not anymore it seems, good to see you've finally seen the light.
I’ll say it for the millionth time all I wanted was for Rob to be held to account.

And I'm fine with that, we at least now have another reasonable option that's not Strachan or Riley Thilthorpe and worthy of a shot.
Edit...and not James Borlase or Burgess.

I mean, Murray has been labelled by many on this board as a KPD dream, and has never had elite kicking

Nick Murray is currently running at 87% disposal efficiency and 82.8% kicking efficieny which is quite satisfactory for a KPD isn't it?

We all know KE is a strange stat.
Nick Murray is certainly not an elite kick, I don't know anyone that's ever asserted he is either but he's pretty decent by AFL KPD standards and certainly not a ballburner.

Plays within his limitations.

Keane often bites off more than needed, but hopefully improves with experience. Higher risk & reward.

What does the offseason look like if they target NWM? Likely would cost two first rounders with a little bit coming back.

Free agent Draper?
Let Obrien leave?

Look at other fringe options or another free agent?
Could we fit NWM and Maynard if other contracts have come off and front loaded a few?

I suspect we are less than 1% chance of NWM playing for us. He will go to Port. Hopefully we can drive the price up as much as possible.

Is this another one of those "lets play it down and be surprised when he comes to Adelaide" situations.

Id hate to be that negative.
