Well would he rather win games of footy and see his mates outside of footy or play with those mates and barely win as the club decides to rebuild?

If we did the hard work early then he might choose us despite his close tie to Port Power players, why wouldn't you want to kick to Thilthorpe, Fogarty, Curtin, Rachele and Rankine.

Terrible list management, but in keeping with our strong focus on retaining as much mediocre depth at the club as possible. This is how we build lists, I'm starting to think it will never change.

That will take him until hes 31 heading into his 32nd year. With his injuries there is no way. Surely.

One thing I've learned is that the Crows play pretty much everything with a straight bat. They've played him every game this year, never subbing him on or off. It's clear that they view Milera as a best 22 player, locked in indefinitely and completely necessary for us going forward, and are just hoping that his injuries are behind him.

He's playing okay but I worry that retaining players like Milera is going to squeeze out a younger player or impact our ability to bring in a future trade target

At least wait until a bit closer to the end of the season, in case he picks up yet another 12 month injury. Which I know is a pretty callous approach but club first.

Not really it's been mentioned previously in the media Milera had put off signing himself until he got going again and playing decent footy, he mentioned it again in his interview yesterday, no doubt Twomey's picked up on that.
