FWIW, I often hear Lions supporters getting exasperated at Bailey, as he often tries to do too much and doesn't do the obvious team thing.

I only see a handful of games at the Gabba a year though, so I don't know whether that's fair or not.

We are playing really well but we still need a gun midfielder. Need to find one that’s available to take us to flag contention. I want wanganeen-Milera but feel he’s not the one that will win the flag. Need a centre square midfield as we’ve seen Dawson and Rankine be inconsistent and sometimes find it hard to find the ball.

Don’t think he wants top dollar, we are probably offering him poor money. Rob isn’t great, no one is saying that but he’s a good average ruckman. Also don’t want to use draft capital or big money on another one.
Reid really needs to pick up a few rookie ruckman and try developing them, we haven’t had one for 5 plus years

I love the idea of getting Clarry Oliver on the cheap

I’m not a Nicks fan , but he deserves credit for selling the vision and building a culture that players want to be apart of
Oliver getting a club behind him , familiar sidekick in ANB, the guidance and support of Burgess who he played his best footy under while in his fitness program

Fresh start , quieter lifestyle , he loves playing at AO aswel

I’d be happy paying him good money if his performances continue to show that he’s hungry for the contest. The sloth from the previous 2-3 seasons isn’t worth the lost list spot. I’d pay more on year to year and that makes it easy for him to walk anytime if a better offer presents.

Finding a decent replacement is the issue, we all know that Rob has been poor to average at times but he’s been healthy and rarely missed a game.
Draper is a huge risk due to injuries and weak ruck talent.
Also if we give a shit offer and Rob leaves, then can’t find a replacement, we are screwed. Need to play it smart and guarantee a good player before we do offer him a smaller offer

Unlikely to be willing to come but Rowell would be the one rumoured to be available that would be a great fit.

Unfortunately for us, he’s a vic kid that won’t come. Unless we give him a shit load of cash. Definitely worth a go though as he’s a huge upgrade on Crouch
