Who knows if Wilson is just running her mouth, she’s gotten things right and wrong before.

Wayne Milera is a distant cousin and they aren’t close, pretty sure Wayne confirmed this earlier this year, and another article quoted NWM saying he wasn’t even sure how they were related.

Rankine did pick us but was a mad Crows supporter while NWM has a lot of Port ties. Would be interesting if the situation was flipped for NWM and what he’d do then, likely still choose Port if he left.

Agree that Tex won’t be here, so some might ask why would it matter, but he’s also considered a legend of the club. Some players won’t feel comfortable representing that.

A feral Port fan chucking a banana isn’t comparable to a club champ saying something racist.

I remember watching Tex’s return game against Richmond, think it was 2022. Post game, Rioli, Bolton and another player deliberately avoided shaking Tex’s hand. It was awkward to watch live and surprised it wasn’t picked up on TV. Anyway, think it shows everyone in the indigenous community handles it differently.

We could send Rankine and Milera or any other high level club people to sit down and chat with NWM, but we can’t even convince Bunji to attend Indigenous round, so I don’t like our chances there.

Do I hope it’s another case similar to Sid Draper? Where the media says he doesn’t want to come here and he ends up begging for us to take him? Yes. Does it look likely? No.

My post was just because your name was way too convenient not to make tho link

And your follow yup post to the initial clip (where I didn’t think twice or even look at your name or see this to be a “debutant” account) just had enough interesting takes/arguendnts to each point referred to to make me glance at your name

But the post/connection itself was purely because the name lends itself.

I also noticed her attribute Port as the source in the final sentence.

I've followed the trade discussions for Nas closely- all clubs, all comments- and my read of the situation is that there's been zero leaks of substance about this potential deal - not Twomey, not Cleary, not Manure, not "it's Port's understanding" Caro, no ITK posters. It's been surprisingly watertight.

Whilst Power may well be the front runners and I can see how a trade involving Bergman could happen, I remain firmly of the opinion that the opportunity cost of completing this deal with the extra picks needed, given Port's depth issues on every line, would decimate their list management for years to come. That's what's made the nature and timing of this first "leak" seem very dodgy - it's likely the last chance to sway Nas' decision, and to mitigate the expense to Port in an open bidding war. If he's not signed this week, you'd have to think he's leaving

This seems like a story Port person put out because they look like a dumpster fire and we look like a million bucks.

Its just an excuse to rule out Adelaide as its pretty clear he wants port imo. I'd rather he stays at St Kilda if we are no shot. We move on.
