we should maybe give fergus watts a chance,
ino the assistant coach of the casey scorpions and we told me that fergus watts is a good footballer and has a lot of potential.

watts is 22, 196cm and 98kg. Taken at no.14 in the 2004 NAB Afl Draft.

i agree. seen him play and he isnt bad. would make a great depth player if a forward went down. i spose he would be handy at number 2. he is a big body too. surely he is bettter then mclaren?

How can you suggest Mark Johnson? How is that going to help Carlton in the long term?

Would add some hardness to the side. Still has two years left and would teach the young ones much which would benefit the future. Sad to see him go from the bombers and hope someone picks him up. Speed an issue. It's not that he's got any slower just that the game keeps getting quicker.

also kepler bradley, he could be played as a key defender, any thoughts on him, but I don't really rate him.

bu he was taken at no.6 in the draft so he must have potential.

He's a terrible footballer and slower than Kennedy or even Westhoff off the mark.

Why would we want him?

Does anyone know if Ben McKinley is out of contract?

i am pretty sure he is out of contract now.
he's only 20 and could be a handy pick-up as a running half-back.
also steven armstrong is a chance to be delisted, does anyone think of him as a decent player? hes only 23, and has played 60 games and also a premiership player.

he's not out of contract. Spoke to him the other night, would love to come home but opportunities are opening up now. Got the body right now as his groins, along with many players coming out of TAC cup sides, were in poor condition. Groins were sorted about a week before he made hs debut, three weeks on he kicks something like 25 goals in 4 matches in the WAFL.

Definitely not a backman, very much a forward with a sensational leap and a great set of hands. His foot skills are no judd but can hit a target.

hes shortish though to be a marking forward, only 184cm is that correct?

like others have said i dont really rate perrie or bradley but that would give us a big body at CHB and release thornton a bit with setanta at FB. perrie i think would be the better player but we would have to keep him away from the goals and get him to punch or mark and hanball off cos he aint a great kick. also i think mark johnson could still have something to offer as a tough back pocket.

POSSIBLE LINEUP

B: B.Thornton S.O'hailpin R.Houlihan
HB: H.Scotland I.Perrie A.Walker
C: K.Simpson N.Stevens A.Carrazzo
HF: R.Hadley J.Waite B.Gibbs
F: E.Betts B.Fevola B.Fisher
R: M.Kreuzer C.Judd M.Murphy

INT: J.Russell C.Cloke P.Bower A.Bentick

EM: C.Ackland J.Bannister

* if we pick up perrie
* i rate bentick highly but no room to start in midfield will have to rotate
* like tex as running half back
* houlihan can provide decision making and kickouts on the last line
* throw kruezer straight in and let him learn against opposition rucks
* Hadley, Gibbs, Bentick and russell all to rotate through midfield
* eddie needs to improve this year or could be let go next year.

Steven Armstrong never played TAC Cup. He was recruited to Melbourne from the Perth Demons in the WAFL and still plays for them when not in the WCE side.

He's not that tall though, only about 177-180cm's at most.
