Besides the plethora of middle east threads do sometimes contain interesting and thought provoking responses from posters (well, until the likes of Jane/miller/eagle wade in with their tripe); the christianity thread rarely ascended beyond kindergarten level.

The next largest thread was about the election, with 169 posts. Only 1 person over 20 in that thread. So, seems i dont have to retract anything, eh tiger?

Stop dreaming tiger. It seems reality is escaping you. How's this for an analogy - I could start a new thread; engage 1 or 2 other posters in a discussion about whatever. The said thread has no interest whatsoever to anybody else yet because I feel like continually bumping it back to the top with a pointless comment or two the thing lingers forever. Others chip in very occasionally and bingo we have a "popular" thread. Yet to you it's a popular thread - as I say deluded.
