If we really want to see who's out there and what we can get I think TW should come out and say that NOBODY is safe and see what happens, it won't hurt to find out what other clubs are willing to give for a Deludio or co.

I would take 5c for Pettifer at the moment as face it he is not worth much.
Look Westward. They have want we want.We have want they want.Performance wise Pettifer has shown he can perform when he pulls his finger out.

Danny Meyer is not worth another year, and yet Kevlin Moore is decent enough?

there are a number of players who ive listed as borderline that if i were being ruthless would be in the 'not good enough' category. including moore, p bowden, mcguane (not impressed with him at all). the thing that tipped meyer out is his apparent lack of enthusiam at tigerland.

ruckmen and kpd will not be delisted or traded. big bodied inside players will not be delisted or traded either. this means knobel will be retained as a ruckman and more than likely hall as a back up chb. it also means coughlan will be given every opportunity to recover from injury. in keeping these players it should not mean we dont draft young players of the same ilk.

another of the in doubt list meyer will not be delisted they may try a trade with him but i doubt that also.

okay what type of player do we have plenty of. its this group that will be delisted traded.

small medium forwards. pettifer krakouer brown meyer p bowden tambling peterson and jackson. of this group only tambling peterson and brown would be safe and maybe meyer. the rest would not be missed one iota.that leaves pettrified krappouer and jackson.

kpf
hughes riewoldt polak pattison richardson schulz and kingsley.
the first 5 are safe 4 are the future and one is a favorite son. that leaves schulz and kingsley for trade or delisting.. kingsley probably has no trade value but schulz definately would and based on performances so far would not be missed.

inside ball winners more inside than out.
coughlan tuck foley connors. we dont have many in this area all are required.although there are others who can win their own ball i wouldnt call them genuine inside.

small medium defenders

jon j bowden casserly deledio hartigan moore newman raines and white. have included casserly as a defender although he was selected as a onballer. okay players who are safe in this group. jon j bowden casserly. deledio. newman. raines. and white.that leaves moore and hartigan as possible trade delistings.
personally i would shop joel around as well.

kpd polak mcguane hall gaspar and thursfield. gaspar has gone already the others will be kept we just dont have many kpd.

that leaves out side mids on ballers or players more outside than inside.collins edwards hyde johnson polo tivendale and rookies howat and king.
collins edwards johnson polo are safe that leaves king howat tivendale and hyde for delisting or trade.
so the overall list of tradeable delitable players is imo. pettifer krakouer jackson kingsley schulz moore hartigan gaspar king howat tivendale and hyde.
10 players 2 rookies.

After the game against the Crows looking at 2008 the signs are there for some rapid improvement. The kids are whats carrying us at the moment and the more games that they get in the next 14 rounds the better it will be for us next year. Edwards, Foley, Deledio, Tambling, Polo, King, Thursfield and so on are the future and despite the constant losses I have never felt more confident that Wallace is on the right track. Tried the first 2 years to reward some of the older player and also give a few youngsters a taste of finals but just missed out.

Due to circumstances beyond his control he has been forced to bring the kids in and play them for extended preiods. This in my mind is going to be the launching pad for the next phase which is consistency. Not saying we will make finals in 2008 but by God we are going to scare the shit out of a few teams in the remainder of this year and heading into 2008.
