Can't think of a time where someone has won the top title in their first appearance, so to me it was totally badass.

Plus they've been building up Matanza as a gigantic monster since last season so he wasn't a complete unknown.

The elimination of Fenix was great and not something you see often with a champion going out like that.

I can't wait for the first time Matanza and Mil Muertes have a face off!

The wrestler portraying Matanza is Jeff Cobb, Former olympic wrestler for Guam. Looks pretty solid from what I can find of him.

The reverse olympic slam finisher type thing he did is (was) called Tour of the Island.

I thought some of the action at Aztec Warfare was lost to the cameras. King Cuerno's elimination and Jack Evans going flying down the stairs come to mind. But they were my only real nitpicks.

Season 3 premiere is great. LU is a tremendously well put together show; when you compare it to WWE, WWE just doesn't hold up in almost any capacity other than arena size.

Was a reasonable beginning. Still think the title needs to come off Metanza. Not that he isn't a good performer but there is just very little heat attached to him compared to say Mil Muertes as a monstrous heel. Or even guys like Mundo and Evans. It is a very energetic crowd but when he wins or comes out it's just like "meh." He would probably be more worthwhile if Dario turned on him and he become face.

One hour of this is better than what WWE dishes out in five. Wish Rey Mysterio wasn't in it but even he's made acceptable.
