Possibly just linked to an old photo... if you email the club/afl they'll probably get it sorted.

18 Possies (5 contested) 72% efficiency, 7 tackles, 4 clearances, 2 inside 50's.

Exactly what we got him for. He'll only get better.

Nice debut Bally.

That is a Good Game Nothing Brilliant but Did his job Under The Packs and Tackled very well

During the last quarter I heard that Ball had been on the ground for 60% of the game. Why is this? This is even less than he got at St.Kilda. Is this going to be a regularity for Ball or can you guys see this improving?

Not Sure but Remember he did not have a Full Pre-Season as he was Drafted not Traded

Solid debut, happy with it. Also don't discount the value he brings by allowing Didak and Davis to spend more time in the forward line.

He also allowed Swan, Obree and Wellingham to be released. And when Pendles worked out the game in the second half. Yes nice pick up always nice to put players into your top 15 rather than having to wait and see if the can play senior football

Ball had already racked up more than his average game time for the Saints in the first half.
Maybe they meant he was on for 60% of the last quarter?

Ball was a solid if not spectacular performer.
It'll probably take him a couple of rounds to get a feel of how to work with our midfield. Still, another talented midfielder is never a bad thing.

Agree with this, plus what The Average Tourist said also.

Besides his very considerable personal contribution he will bring, freeing up Didak and Davis to go forward, Swannie, and Pendles to be bit more outer mid, role model for Beams, Sinclair etc, rest O'Bree a bit more, all this makes him invaluable IMO.

Did enough IMO.

Had 18 disposals at 72% efficiency, 7 tackles, 4 clearances, 2 Inside 50's and 3 one percenters- which are invaluable to the team.

Will get better with every game as he adjusts to the "Collingwood way".

Also adds terrific leadership, experience and strength around the footy.

As others have said, don't underestimate his value he adds to the likes of Didak, Davis, Pendlebury, Swan and Thomas IMO. Dids and Davis both played predominently forward which is where they are best suited and delivered very well.

Plus he is a Big Body and Can was Great in Contesed Situations by getting the Ball out or Keeping the Ball in without the Dogs Getting it

If you get into stats then Ball was outstanding according to this.

Ball involved on all levels

Ball incorporated into game plan
It was clear the Magpie coaching staff was intent on incorporating Ball into all facets of the game with the new recruit contributing in 26 score involvements, the most for his side. Swan was second most with 23 while O’Bree contributed in 19 scores.

Ball is outstanding.

The way he goes about his footy and the attributes he adds to our squad are just as important as any.

The bloke is fearless.

He goes about his football the way people should go about their lives.

Once Ball and Jolly figure out that now they are in Black & White stripes they aren't going to get any fair (or even) breaks from the umps they will adapt & improve too. I only got to hear the game on the radio as there was no coverage before midnight over here but the stats really surprised me. The radio commentary didn't give him much of a mention. BTW did anyone else see the stats on the AFL website after the game. The team lists had differing totals for the free kicks for and against for each side, yeah, yeah, yeah I know they should be different but only in the mirror reverse, they weren't. Huh!!!!!!!
