I reckon Stringer will end up a 15-20 possession, 2-3 goal a game forward who spends the odd burst in the middle.

I've heard people liken him to Pavlich, but I don't think he'll end up pushing 100kg and I don't think he'll be a 60-70+ goalkicker playing a key position.

He's certainly capable in the middle but you don't want to waste a guy like that backward of centre.
 
They were immense today. Haven't seen their other games including their flogging last week, but as a team they were red hot today.

I don't know what the hell happened to the crows players, but every dogs player looked like Cyril Rioli this afternoon. Bob Murphy included

I realized I was getting old the day I heard him described on the radio as a "retiring veteran", coz he was "that young gun footballer" in the area when I was growing up.

He used to play tennis in Brady Rd (East Bentleigh) with a SUPER farkin HOT chick who I think was his girlfriend. :D Does anyone know if he married her? :p

What I like about him, is we haven't heard much about it.

It's not hard, no need for bravado and chest beating, just focus on the guys you want to like and respect you.

Show us on the field what you inspire, leave us wondering about the rest.

I think he's capable of 60 odd goals if he stays forward to be honest. Last year when he got back from his spell in the 2s and played permanent forward he kicked 22 I think it was in the last 9 games, and so far this year he's kicked 11.6 in 4, so he has shown he can hit the scoreboard very hard, and I honestly think were still just scraping the surface of what he's capable of. Last night he really could have kicked 10, missed two sodas and was subbed off right when he was on absolute fire.

Really needs to sort out his ****ing set shots, I just know he's going to miss at the moment which is disappointing. I reckon about 4 or 5 of those 6 behinds have been from about 30-45 out on not much of an angle and he's also sprayed a couple of easy shots out on the full so he could honestly be sitting on like 15+ already.

Its pretty weird as when he first got into the team he was an absolute dead eye, wouldn't miss from anywhere up to about 55 out on any angle, just in the 2nd half of last year and now he has the yips pretty badly, but we managed to fix Liam Jones set shots so I think he will be alright in that regard, and if he's in general play well theres no one I'd rather have the ball around goals than him.

He's kicked 33 for his past 13 (one game he played as a pure mid out of need) and his goalkicking has been pretty poor of late. He should have about 40 from his last 13 at the very least.

Kid has all the ability to kick 60+. I think a few people think that because he's only 192cm a mid sized defender should be able to hold him. His strength and power suggests otherwise.

Also, I think they owe as much to Bob Murphy - who could already be the best captain in the league - as they do to Bev.

Why he wasn't given it after Boyd had had enough, I will never know.
 
He's got a good game style going there, it's footy as it should be played. Some very impressive young players, gee I wish we had Stringer at Hawthorn, he's going to be a top player, if he isn't already. I think the way they are playing, they'll add another couple of years to Murphy's career.
