What is the news on Luke it did not look good when he could not put his foot on the ground.

He looked the goods before his injury. Apparently he already injured it during the game, came back on, but once Hurley trod on it, he couldn't go on. We already have enough small defenders in the team, bring in Crouch next week!

Let's just thank our lucky stars that the person who did go down is someone we can replace easier than others. Imagine losing someone like Danger or Sloane last night in a performance like that.

Took Luke Brown in my SC team. Looked great until injured. Bad luck for the kid.
Any idea of how long he will be out guy's?

Luckily we've got a borderline AA small defender stinking it up elsewhere on the ground that we can send an SOS to.

Two birds with one stone :)

Who?

That's ok, you mean stiffy but he's no longer an AA quality defender, he's not even close to that. He maybe an option to play back there but he's not any longer a long term option.

You just watch, one more foot injury and the AFL will introduce a rule banning any and all contact with the feet

I was pleased with Brown before injury, though. Considering I didn't see much to excite me last year, I was happy with how he was playing and the attributes he showed. Hope he isn't out for long.

Wonder if this is Crouch's ticket into the game? Of the bench options it would have to be he or Riley to come in. Or does Tambling leapfrog him because the injury happened to a running defender?

No, it just means they haven't got the X-Ray yet, until they do it'll be difficult to know wether it's just bruising or an actual break.
"an ankle or a foot injury"

That's deliberately vague.

That's the thing.

New rule preventing leg contact may prevent a few broken legs like Rohan's over the course of ten years.

They could then concurrently introduce some stupid rule so that feet aren't stepped on like in Brown's case last night.

In both instances aspects of the game are damaged greatly and while a few freak injuries will ultimately not occur, there will still be ACLs, broken arms and serious concussions.

And if you are trying to prevent all that may as well just do goal kicking shootouts to decide the winner of a match.

You can't have that someone might pull a hammy!

Best to just flip a coin, much safer.
