His first quarters were sublime, just couldn't sustain it for an entire match. Hopefully he goes on with it.
His 25 possie game v Adelaide was a very good game though and I don't remember it specifically, as it was such a horror match for us, but I see he also had 24 against Geelong later in the year, so there's no reason to suggest they won't be 30 possie games in a couple of years time, once he's built his tank up more.

I remember someone on SS saying a year or so ago that they had spoken to Jack and that in his first year he was just buggered all the time during games and that he was just willing himself on from contest to contest, with very little left in the tank and that it was likely to take until his 3rd year until he was really ready to start to make an impact and I think that is likely to be the case, as with most when they come into the comp at the age he did.

Yeah, very well spoken guy.

Interesting how he will go with a sponsor family, should be earning more then enough to get a place without issue.

maybe so, but does he know how to cook, clean, wash, drive, organise finances, pay bills on time etc does he have 6 months of pay checks, a credit card, credit history

he's much better concentrating on easing into the football immediately, and then life later on

In the 2 most recent practice games Dunstan so far has had;

  • 20 disposals, 8 clearances and a goal
  • 22 disposals, 7 clearances and a goal

The manchild is ready to go.

I loved his game today. Great strength. Great at clearances in congestion, and while tackling. But so damn hard when tackling the opposition - Lennyesque, terrifying.

He's gotta get the 7 when Lenny finishes up.

"Yeah he does [look ready]; he's done everything right, he's had another impressive performance," Richardson said.

"His ability to win the ball inside, big-bodied to be able to take the pressure of the opposition … we were plus-[21] in clearances and we rate [Port's] clearance work really strongly, so for him to be a big part in that was impressive today."

Also:

He's a man child which means he's been able to showcase his skills quicker than our other draftees, but he hasn't done anything during the season yet. I don't mean to be a kill joy but Siposs had a good preseason last year too and that didn't exactly translate into the real stuff. If he starts putting up similar numbers during the real season then oh boy.

This and long term too. We don't want another Daniel rich here. Someone playing well in the SANFL/WAFL with a more mature body than the rest of the kids. Then plays a good first season until the kids catch up to him and go past him

Not going to have many positives this year lets take the take the glass half full with Dunstan ;) he will get better every year for next 14 years

He is rip roaring and ready to go.
Injury free - he will play 22 games this year. Hes a mile ahead of Seb Ross.

FWIW - Only ~24% ownership in Supercoach ATM,

76% of SC coaches aren't taking it serious this year then, IMO
