I don't really think you guys need him. You've got way way too many HFF's/wingman. He's got pace, size, athleticim, pretty good skills, booming kick- however he is the biggest softc*ck to play AFL. Very very soft, shirks contests at all times. Is very very very. Seriously, he's got talent, has all the attributes to be a very good player but he's soft. as. butter. Since you guys already have Corrie I doubt you need Jericho... similar types of players.
Only on bigfooty does being delisted make you a potential future star. The guy as the Adeliade supporter said is soft. To the Lonie degree and plays in a role we have covered.

Mate Nick Davis and now Jericho? Get a grip! We can draft players that are 100 times better. Youth should be our policy from here on in. Not these half arse spuds that can't do anything at any clubs.

I can't see us delisting anyone else so we only have 4 spots, 5 if we let Macaffer go. I still think the club is unsure on Cousins and that will decide Macaffer's fate.
Cousins would be the only recycled player we would be looking at. Although Davenport from Geelong may be of interest. Still think we will go for youth though.

Why are you so sure he wont?
Been in the system for two or three years? only shown something towards the end of the year and it is not like we are struggling for small forwards on the list.
Seems to be a similar type to Medhurst - who would be 10 times the player Macaffer is.
Wellingham is the type of player we need more of - he has pace, skills are ok and can play in the middle.
I reckon the maggies will only promote one of the two - and Wellingham gets the nod for me
Yep. What he said. I think if we decide on Cousins the only way Macaffer gets on to the senior list is with another delisting. Johnson looms as a possibility but he has a year to go on his contract. Toovey, Stanley, Cox and Cook look safe and Bryan is probably safe for one more year.
We would not have traded into the 3rd round again with the Shaw trade if we were not going to use those 4 picks. I am a little surprised we went for Corrie but we obviously rate him.
I think there are 2 places for Johnson, Cousins and Macaffer and if we go for Cousins I just think Macaffer may be the one to miss out.

From what I have seen he has a big motor and plenty of potential for us to groom him for another position (if we feel that we have too many small forwards). Plus, wasn't he elevated to the senior list for the last few games of 2008? I think the club wants to keep him.
As for the Cousins, Johnson, Macaffer argument:
Cousins (has 3 years left in him, at most)
Johnson (does he even figure in our plans for 2009 and beyond??)
Macaffer (could be with us for 10 years....or could deliver absolutely nothing).
Personally, I would take a risk and go with Macaffer and Cousins.

Can anyone that sees more VFL games than I do (saw only 5 or 6 myself) confirm if Macaffer could play further up the ground and has a tank for midfield? I don't recall seeing him play through the middle at all and thought we would have looked at it at some stage if he could.

I only saw around the same, however I am pretty sure they were playing him down back for a bit? Happy to be proven wrong though.
