Young key defenders take a minimum of four years. What we have now in Luke is a bonus. Will get better and the thing that I like about him is that he will not stop until he has reached his potential.
This kid won't die wondering. Will give it his all. And I reckon what he has is going to be good enough. Won't be a star. But will be a very, very serviceable player.
Put it this way:
McGuane>Hall

not saying that he will be a star, but he is developing at hyper speed and to those who suggest his kicking is lacking, take a look at the replay of todays game and then you might want to reassess. He is even threading needles and hitting targets now and makes minimal mistakes in his option taking. Again, well done Luke, IMO the most improved player on the list this year. And that includes Foley. Foley was good and went to top notch. Luke has gone from the nowhere land, to be a top defender and still improving.
To think that after the Swans game last year, i was thinking WTF too.
