My first ever Phantom draft. I no ill properly get bagged for the Scully and Martin selections but I’m pretty happy with the draft and went based on my opinion. Try not to be to harsh. Just to add all these people who have taken there time to do Phantom Drafts as they are not easy to complete and take a fair while to do.
Round 1 -
Pick 1 – Melbourne – Jack Trengove - Best player in the draft imo and will add hardness to the Melbourne midfield.
Pick 2 – Melbourne – Dustin Martin - I no ill get a spay of alot off people for this but i think Dustin may just end up a Demon with Hardness, Great Skills, Fitness and Speed, he seems like an all round player and could be the best in the draft.
Pick 3 – Richmond – Tom Scully – I no many people will think im being bias hear although i am warming to having Dustin i think we may just get Tom. All of these 3 are as good as eachother imo and Richmond will take whoever is left which i think will be Scully.
Pick 4 – Fremantle – Anthony Morabito – Local boy and wont look past him, has the X-factor and is tall and quick which will add pace along the big wings of Subiaco.
Pick 5 – North Melbourne – Ben Cunnington – Ben is a very hard at it midfielder and will be a good midfielder to add to the young and developing midfield with Zieball and Swallow.
Pick 6 – Sydney – Gary Rohan – I think he is best available hear and Sydney would love a KPP with the x-factor the Rohan has with Hall and Micky O going.
Pick 7 – West Coast – Lewis Jetta – Quick Wingman who will pace pace around the wings of Subiaco and also doesn’t mind going forward.
Pick 8 – Port Adelaide – John Butcher – Need a KPF with Tredrea getting old will be a very good forward in the coming years with a great mark and OK kick may need to put on some weight though.
Pick 9 – Port Adelaide – Kane Lucas – Port will take a midfielder hear and Lucas is best available, that can go forward and kick a goal. Good decision making and awareness.
Pick 10 – Essendon – Jake Melksham – Very good mid with good skills will will be a good pick-up for the dons as they need another skilful midfielder.
Pick 11 – Melbourne – Jake Carslisle – 2nd Best KPP in the draft Melbourne will love to have him and Watts teaming up in the coming years, can also play back.
Pick 12 - Carlton – Daniel Tahlia – Carlton will be very happy to get Tahlia he is the best backman in the draft can also run off the opposition player doesn’t have bad skills either.
Pick 13 – Adelaide – Luke Tapscott – Has a very powerful and straight kick. With a few of Adelaide’s Midfielders and half Backs getting old will fit in really well.
Pick 14 – Sydney – Andrew Moore – Will become a good player and go back or forward a versitle player, imo will be drafted to play back also has good skills.
Pick 15 – Western Bulldogs – Aaron Black – Doggies will be stoked to get Black with there first pick. A KPF who has a strong mark and pretty quick for a big guy also has a good kick on him. Just what the doggies need.
Pick 16 – Port Adelaide – Nathen Vardy – Port will be happy to get another tall with this pick and will take Vardy who is the best ruck in the draft.
Pick 17 – Geelong - Jasper McMillan-Pittard – I think Geelong will add a surprise to the draft and take him this early, a local boy with good skills is a medium midfielder will add run of half back. Which is the way the like to play. Considered Koby Stevans but i think they have a strong midfield already.
Round 2
Pick 18 – Melbourne – Koby Stevans – Melbourne will be happy that Koby feel this far and will take him, he will add a bit of grunt to there midfield. Melbourne fans will be pleased to see Trengove, Martin and Stevans running around next year in the red and blue.
Pick 19 – Richmond – Ryan Bastinac – I am a big bastinac fan and will be very annoyed if we didn’t pick him up hear, Very skilful player and swing onto both sides and is very smart with the ball has alot of confidence. Scully, Cotchin, Deledio and Bastinac would be a great midfield in the future and Richmond can pick up a KPF like Houghton with the third pick.
Pick 20 – Fremantle – Troy Taylor – Freakish skills will help Ballentyne as a small forward.
Pick 21 – North Melbourne – Callum Bartlett – North will take Bartlett to help in the midfield and can rest down forward and crumb of the big forward line.
Pick 22 – West Coast – Brad Sheppard - Will add some run off half back and will suit there home ground. Will be surprised he fell this far.
Pick 23 – West Coast – Mitch Duncan – I think west coast will take best aval. Mid hear and i belive that will be Duncan. Quick midfielder will add pace to West Coast.
Pick 24 – Essendon - Allen Christenson – Small goal sneak who will suit Essendon will play of the forward flank and rotate into the middle.
Pick 25 – North Melbourne – Jesse Crichton - Best Aval. Hear for the roos. Is hard at the ball and will suit the way the roos play.
Pick 26 – Essendon – Luke Ball – Essendon will take Luke ball hear to add to the midfield which needs a bit of toughness.
Pick 27 – Brisbane – Travis Colyer - Vossy will be angry that Ball is gone but wil be happy to get Colyer.
Pick 28 – Geelong – Jack Fitzpatrick - Will be very happy to get Jack t cover for the Mumford departure and Blake being to skinny and just not good enough.
Pick 29 – Adelaide – Alex Carey – I rate this kid very highly and i think he is the best aval. Midfield is very stong inside and has good awareness and ability to get it out quickly.
Pick 30 – Collingwood - Josh Thomas – Strong inside mid. Heard from a few people that Collingwood are very keen on Josh and will add to there midfield with young outside mids, Josh will be able to get it out to them.
Pick 31 – Western Bulldogs – Ben Griffaths – Will slid due to his injuries and bulldogs will be lucky if he lasts this long.
Pick 32 – St.Kilda – Jordan Gysberts – Started off being highly rated but i think he has dropped off in the last few months and St.Kilda will be keen to pounce on the good midfielder.
Pick 33 – Essendon - Roland Ah Chee – Was oing to have him at Pick 24 but let him slip down to this pick i think Essendon will love to pick up the midfielder who is known for his ability to find the ball. May pick up Panos for a KPF.
