Fevalecki, Marsh just to name a few and if you dont believe me just go and ask them yourself cos they'd be more than happy to brag about how much they get paid.

Well, believe me ablett, i know it was no more then $400, get over the money thing, everyone is spending money, its just that pyramid dont have anything to show for it yet, thats why you have a crack at them.

Im not having at crack at Pyramid spending the big kangas, who they spend it on is another story, clubs in remote area's have to if they want success but i was replying to tazy2heads statement of no one would be on over $400- @ Pyramid which you well & truly know is a lie cos when you coached Pyramid a few years back you know exactly how much was spent cos you were the the main man offering the cabbage.

What where you thinking paying that Diss bloke $400- a game as an assitant when he was just a battler in the Golden Square magoo's, please explain?
What does that make Holdstock worth considering hes a 200 game senior BFL player & multiple premiership player & interleague player, $1000- a game?

I wouldnt say he was a battler in the 2's, did play a few 1's games at Square when they were a side contesting for a flag.

there was no player there in 2010 on more then 400, thats a fact, who you spend it on, they were well worth there money, on and off the field, good blokes to go with it, and last thing pyramid will never go broke, because the people they have there work there ar$e off, and the players they recruit do there bit aswell, thats what makes it a great club, maybe you should come up for the season and see how good it is, i only planned for 1 season there and it turned into 8, might see ya there.

I played with Dissy for a few years, he won a few 2's club b&f's and im pretty sure he won a 2's Leagua b&f too.
He was servicable when he got the odd game in the seniors but was unfortunately starved with oppertunities due to the strength of the Square senior side back then.
He wouldve been a regular senior player at most other clubs.

Spot on! Blokes like Feva and Luan would have been getting $600 minimum. Dissy went there in 09 originally on something like $400 assistant coach and blokes of that pedigree would have been getting a lot more.

Happy to be proven wrong but thats my take on it

Pyramid seem to get good players in each year, however they don't improve the playing list, that's not a shot at the club, but what they bring in simply replaces the quality they already had. Eg Holdstock, Bateman this year for say Marsh, and Garlett, and the other Indigenous players that Pyramid had, quality in's but it's quality out's.

Pyramid not 1,000km from Bendigo, but with the number of sides between it and bendigo it may as well be, if you think travel is only worth $50 then your crazy.

It's a tough spot for pyramid, in a lot of ways they are in between the Golden Rivers League, Echuca and then back into Bendigo, they've done a good job so far.

Anyway ramble out.

Fair call, lets be honest we are not in the greatest spot in the world but the people are great. Tough gig to get guys past all those others to here. Whatever all the blokes have been paid in the past and now, who cares, majority arent one year wonders. If they do a couple of years then its a good effort and a bonus to get more out of them, then they become locals (sort of ish) Bit like the old Investor, fair effort by any ones means

Who is to say that the GARLETT boys arent on the radar still

MARSH has gone, can get half a side here now all cashed up

You can add former YC premiership player Doc O'Connell and Daine Lowry for Golden Rivers club Wakool also. Doc is returning to the club after a decent stint including a couple of flags at Mounts. All the other names are spot on.

Ahh so Darren Walsh as been lured by his uncle, Darrens body is shot but he will still kick goals in this league on one leg. He'll sit in a goal square you'll find and may get some of his old Square mates to join.

Pete and Joe McKern are good mates and he was always keen to come to YCW to have a kick with him, no falling out as far as I know. They played at different clubs this year.

Think you might be right after what I heard over the weekend... couple of big names and a few others who will go well in LVFL seniors are in the mix to go to YCW, who have had a massive recruiting season and not done yet.

also heard Mitiamo picked up a few decent BFL 2's players from sandhurst

From the amount of km's Pete's doing on the road bike at the moment, he's either going to be the fittest bloke in the LVFL, or more likely isnt playing at all.
Just the mail Ive heard...great get for YCW if Messy pulls on the boots, but I wouldnt say its a sure thing at all.
Trev Douglas though is a very good recruit, and it would be good to see YCW get in there amongst ya Pyramids and Bridgeys to make the year even more interesting.
Very little out of Inglewood, Marong, Newbridge and BL Serp early days...either battling or keeping the cards close to the chest?
