Lynch elevated to senior list

According to the eagles website, Lynch has been elevated to the senior list in place of Phil Read who is on the long term injury list, and Lynch is set to make his AFL debut this weekend against Carlton at Optus.
Here's hoping the kids debut is a good one.

On where he plays? I get the feeling he'll be played off the bench and will spend most of his onfield time in defence. He is a defender, why would Woosha play him up forward??

WOW! Congratulations and good luck to Quinten Lynch! The only thing that bothers me is that Lynchy is a Western Australian and his first match is in Melbourne. It seems a bit tuff on the poor guy to have to play his first AFL match in Melbourne. Ohwell I hope he performs and earns his spot in the side for another week. Im looking forward to seeing him play (games being televised here!). GOOD LUCK LYNCHY!

I know that he's primarily a defender but i think he'll be used in the forward line considering his bulk and strength

Great news for Lynch - or his new nickname Fried Ly-chee and Ice Cream. I'm really pleased the club has rewarded him on his good form.

I'd like Woosha to play Lynch somewhere in the backline, which is where he's been playing his best WAFL footy. Maybe put McIntosh at Full Forward and Lynch at Full Back could be an option?

Good luck to the Boy Mountain from West Perth.

I thought it would happen, but not this soon. Hope it goes well for him - he appears to have a terrible temper when things go against him, so I could see him flattening someone (legitimately I hope) if things start to go badly.

I think he will spend most of the time on the bench, but he can play front or back - for example he went up forward last weekend just for the final quarter and kicked 2 goals.

Watch for the big welly out of defence if he gets hold of it back there!

Good news...lets hope he earns his spot...i hope he doesnt keep Williams out of the side though, i just dont get why Williams and Glassy arent regulars in the side when other continue to get games.

Well done, Big Quinten.

We shouldn't expect too much from the bloke (making his debut at Optus isn't ideal) but it is a big step forward for a first year rookie.

It'll be interesting to see where he lines up. I guess he'll start at full forward and just be asked to crash packs and bring Fido, Merenda and Punda into the game.

NAH!!!!! We dont want someone called Flic after the chick on Neighbours!! We'd have a Wayne Carey Incident on our hands if we did! ( For anyone who doesnt watch neighbours..Flic has a bit of a fling with her sisters fiance before the wedding and it all comes out at the wedding and absolutely ruins everything)
