Hey guy, we have heard a bit about the progress of young Jack Viney showing some early form over in SA. I have also noticed that Gaz has a 15yr old Ben as well as a 13 and 11 yr old. Has anyone heard if Young Ben is showing some of his fathers ability? as could be a possible draft in next 2-3 years.

The father son connection is something that has seemed to be missing from the MFC when you compare to some of the other clubs. I would love to see a Viney and Lyon once again dominating for our club!

If they're good enough then I'm all for it but I don't want to see us drafting based on sentiment. Like Jack Grimes' younger brother, it would be nice to see brothers running around together in the red and blue but only if he is the best available with our pick. We don't want to do a Richmond and get Patrick Bowden just because we have Joel.

Hopefully they turn out to be superstars for our club though.

Viney's young boy looks like a very good player of the future so far, definitely wouldn't be drafted just because of his last name.

Jack is doing really well over here- playing for North Adelaides underage squad (caused a bit of a stir he didnt go to Sturt where his old man played), I am fairly sure he is eligible for next years draft and would not be surprised at all if we put in a FS bid at the draft (with Todd being an assistant coach, I have no doubt we would be keeping a very close eye on his development)

Jack's 15. he won't be eligible for the draft for the draft for 3 years. that said, can't bloody wait to pick him up

in 5 games for North Adelaide U16's and kicked 7 goals and named in the best 4 times. (this was all in april. can't find any more recent info on his form)

On the Footy Show a couple of weeks ago, Lyon admitted his son had a seriously flawwed kicking action which he wouldn't let his dad fix. There is still hope for the other two though!!
