Temporary CHB. He'll be a CHB for roughly 3 more years till Glass is gone and then will be our FB.

But either way, I'm glad he's re-signed.

Here's an article basically confirming that Mackenzie is about to be signed and that we shouldn't have too many worries getting Brown to put pen to paper either.

Impressive youngster Eric Mackenzie is poised to beat coach John Worsfold to the punch and re-sign with West Coast for at least two more seasons.

The West Australian understands an announcement on the 21-year-old’s future will be made within 24 hours

Brown, whose 2008 campaign was torpedoed by a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament, is keen to stay with the Eagles, who are in talks with his management.

Liam Pickering, Brown’s manager, said yesterday he did not envisage any problems with the contract negotiations.

Priddis would get at least two years, Embley probably the same, Nicoski at least one year extension. Unless someone offers over the odds for them.

This is the speed in which things change.

McKenzie was thrown into the line-up last year because of the injury toll.
I watched him in the scratch match and thought he had come on in a big way and might press for selection this year.
My concern was that he was a junior Glass and I wasn't sure he could fit into the side in that mold.
Not only has he made the side but he has taken on some of the stars and played well above what was expected.
I take my hat off to you McKenzie, you will be one of our great players and I forgive that error, F^&#$%@g silly and careless error but I forgive.
