Only reason he was moved was because of injuries to our midfielders last year. We needed someone forward with Pav going in the middle.
But Yes Let's keep him there. How solid does a backline of Tarrant, McPharlin, Broughton, Hayden, Duffield and even Silvagni look!!

Elvis has left the building...
and returned to the backline, where he always belonged.
He still has that great closing speed to come from no-where and get to a contest at the last minute.
He generated some great runs out of the backline tonight, and was almost Roger like in how he weaved through the (admittedly average) Adelaide pressure.
Importantly for me, his kicking seemed to be mostly back to the long, accurate delivery of 2005-2007 - a great sign, lets hope he can do it on smaller grounds like Ettiturd and the SCG.

There was one passage of play where he had it in the centre square and all of Adelaide was forward.
Go back to 09 and he would have just chipped it sideways and we would go sideways for a long time.
Skip to 2010 and he plays on from the mark runs about 70 metres out and bombs it long to the goal square! That's what we missed last year! That long accurate kicking to dangerous spots.

I can't believe how obvious it was last year that he was not meant for the forward line. It's taken them a whole season to realise what most of us did in 1-2 games. He is a superb CHB when on his game, why would we not play him there. Great game from him tonight
