Loved the ending. It's a great finale - Don's phone conversations with Betty and Peggy were heartbreaking.

Very sad to know it's all over now, no more MM episodes. Can't believe it's been 8 years.

This is one of the all-time-great TV show.

Am I the only one who didn't see Peggy/Stan coming?

Don't know what to think of the actual ending or even the finale, but man, what a show it's been.

I thought they would end up together, they always had a solid chemistry.

They did, but I thought it was really well written/acted in that it didn't become the obvious "oh they'll end up together" sub-plot, but when it did happen it made sense.

Yeah they definitely did, but I didn't ever see it as romantic. But like ManWithNoName, made sense to me when it did eventuate.
Reminded me a lot of Pam and Jim from The Office. Geez I laughed at Don with the hippies walking around the room, laughed more in the last episode than the whole series. Wasn't a "big" finale, but I thought abou it once it finished and realised there's not one thing I can knock about it

This has been a really great show the whole way through. Three things about the finale:

1 - I didn't read it as Don writing that Coke ad at all when I watched it. But as soon as someone pointed it out, I think he definitely got back in the ad game. And just as cynical as he always was.

2 - I was fist-pumping when Peggy and Stan got together. Was wanting that to happen for years and even though it was cheesy as hell that they DID get together, they did it really well. Stan is such a legend, but I really worry that he won't be able to do it put up with Peggy for a long relationship!

3 - The actor who played Leonard (the guy who broke down in the group sharing session) just pulled off the best performance arguably of the season, perhaps the whole series. Incredible! Brilliant! I was almost in tears!! I guess you've gotta give some credit to the writing as well, but he absolutely nailed it. I was so caught up in the normalness of his despair. Hell, it even made Don Draper break down!!!!! Kudos to that guy!

To me this was the moment he was 'back', with the coke ad in his mind

I watched the entire series for the first time over the last 5 week finishing with the last 4 episodes last night, certainly is an addictive show, has lead to few late nights in front of the telle & a couple of MM dreams which have been fun;) - is this the perfect binge TV show? I suspect so.

One element Weiner seemed to have picked up from his time at The Sopranos (& which The Sop's did so well) is those episode endings - no fan fare or big reveals, just regularness of everyday life playing out, although the Coke Ad finale was a masterstroke.

Bit of trivia for those interested, the Faye character was bugging the hell out of me because I couldn't recall where I had seen her before, I should have known.

Worked my way through the last 7 episodes this week. Did so with a mixture of excitement and regret. As someone who rated The Wire, The Sopranos and Breaking Bad as my top 3 it always seemed strange that MM would be so important to me. But it is, or more correctly or unfortunately, was. I don't think there has been a better written, better acted and better costumed/designed anything ever.

And what a last episode. I laughed, I cried, I cheered. Don and Betty, Don and Peggy, Peggy and Stan. And Roger. Lord how I will miss Roger.

I fear for my TV watching future. I can't see it being any better than this.

Finally, Jon Hamm gets the Emmy he deserved.

Him crawling onto the stage was probably the highlight in the history of the Emmys.

Haha just saw this, very fitting.

Absolutely insane that it took the very last possible opportunity for Mad Men to win its one and only acting Emmy. Ridiculous.

I didn't watch this show when it was originally aired, we saw it on Netflix and decided to give it a go. 7 seasons in 2 weeks later I'm suffering withdrawals. I ended up buying the second half of season 7, it's not on Netflix yet and we couldn't wait.

One of the best shows I've ever watched. I'm going with Don creating that Coke ad. I don't normally get emotional when watching shows but the phone call Don had with Betty got to me.... Roger Sterling is one of the best characters ever on a TV show and this show is responsible for Bye Bye Birdie being stuck in my head for the last few weeks.

We did the same with S01 to S03.

Caught up real time and that sucked.

Binge MM me thinks

It was also responsible for me upping my standard of work clothing.
