    • not much to explore in the city, basically driving from this "kill everyone" mission to another "kill everyone" mission.
    • I initially loved the collectibles, but now I'm realizing the only incentive for me to explore the boring buildings of the city is to see naked girls in the playboy magazines
It's like the opposite of a compliment sandwich.

Seen a few impressions saying the same things now.
Good story, but side missions are all the same and enemies are all the same. with the poor AI

Sounds like a EB rental for the weekend is the right idea, might return it and get Tomb Raider again nextweek.

and the Youtubers they gave previews to only had 3 hrs story 2 hrs free roam. just the right time it seems before it becomes too repetitive in free roam.

Some absolute pearlers in there. Creedence Clearwater Revival, Johnny Cash, Jefferson Airplane, Misfits, all stick right out to me.

Just a shame about some of the opinions on the game. To be honest it sounds like Mafia 2 again. Ripper story, game itself not that bad but just really shallow. Will still buy because I'm a sucker.

Mafia games have never been about free roam. The game might be open world, but it's never been the type of game where you go off and do random s**t for hours and hours. It's always been a relatively linear experience for an open world game.

Dunno what type of missions people expect other than killing people.

Yeah, thats what im getting and then price matching. The girl tried to get me to pre-order the special edition with steelbook and season pass. but not worth the extra $50 then pricematching.

- Mafia 1 (2002) - Capped at 63fps, widescreen resolutions have stretched UI - acceptable considering this was far before widescreen was standard like many games of its time

- Mafia 2 (2010) - Unlocked 120fps+, full arbitrary resolution support / 21:9 / multi-montior etc etc

- Mafia 3 (2016) - Capped at 30fps..

My favourite mafia related games were actually those Godfather games on PS2 (maybe PS3 as well?).

First one was really great, second one was a bit worse as far as main storyline, but better as far as building the mafia empire.

Mafia 2 killed my PS3 (Yellow light of death) so I won't be getting this one.
