First episode was alright. Do see the cogs Cameron criticism. Felt cogs is trying too hard to be a captain.

Dunno about you guys but the last ten minutes I felt absolute dread over what was planning out. Yes it happened and we all went through it but the memories that it was bringing back that whole period of uncertainty. I remember that final siren against the demons and it was the most hollow feeling I've felt after a win.

Thank **** were much more away from that point albeit lots of people have died and many have had their lives changed forever.

Coniglio doesn’t seem like a leader. He also doesn’t seem like the sort of bloke who will get out of a form slump by constantly mentioning how down on form he is. Maybe try and build the guy up a bit. The only GWS person they have showed that did that was Lenny Hayes.
Remember the show is creating a narrative, I’m sure there was plenty of positive feedback for him over the journey.

Agree on not captain material. Reeks of “we’re making him captain so he doesn’t leave the club”

Wait until you see episode 3. Leon Cameron is a car crash.

Is dropping the F word in every sentence meant to be motivating and inspiring?
so Cogs doesn't swear right ? I mean from the preview from facebook, he looks like a monk...maybe there's a link here...Didn't Dusty shout let's F'kin go in the GF ?

EDIT: so he does swear after all.

isn't it weird tho that after the game (v Melb) and yes, Gil declared a halt to the entire AFL comp...until further notice...that WC immediately got stuck into the beers ? in the locker room and then out on the oval...
Given the circumstances not really.

yikers pretty premature call. heater bought into it pretty hard in episode 2

In any GWS team meeting you can see the life draining out of Jeremy Cameron.

very impressed by Rory Sloane, Dew is the coach I’d most like to play for if I had any ability. Watching Dew watching Rowell is a highlight.
Peggy and Benny Gale so level headed, Peggy just reads the play and seems a step ahead all the time.

As a Blues supporter, I’m enjoying Eddie, but it’s a very narrow look at us compared to the other clubs

Amazon Prime isn't too bad, but its very niche, you need to find multiple things on it to make it worth it. I was offered a 3 month trial, which I used to marathon 24 on. Months later I'm still a subscriber (but that's more to get the free postage delivery!). A lot of the good free shows that I'd watch are available US only :(.

I hope it gets better for Leon Cameron and Coniglio. So far they been the worst performed in terms of how they come across. I struggle to even understand what Cameron saying most of time and Conigs way of talking does not feel like a captain type, even though he trying.

Leon Cameron's speech was pathetic. If I was a member (who had shelled out $681 for a 2021 membership) I would be asking for my money back.

It reeked of a man who has no concept of neuroscience or motivational psychology, and one who lacks ability to build engagement and connection. You can't build a successful culture with amateur hour rubbish like "home truth conversations are the best part about being at footy clubs"

No attempt to seek to understand his men...and masks that lack of wisdom with "daddy knows best" archaic mindset bulls**t.

Starting to twig as to why there's been a gradual exodus - Cameron, Zwilliams, Corr, Caldwell, Langdon...and all those high performing guys in years past.

And then think about the old senior heads like Ward and Griffin - learned under Eade at the Bulldogs which was no different (so they could do little to influence proper growth). Wonder what Deledio thought of the culture?

Just finished the series. Damien Hardwick was the most impressive person IMO. The way he speaks to his players is incredible, and this is coming from someone that used to think he was a bit of a sh*thead
Kinda lucky that Peggy didn’t go to the hub and they had to switch focus onto Hardwick or it would have just been shots of her looking on nervously in the stands. What a waste!

I think everyone except the GWS crew came out looking better than they went going in.

Looking from the outer I was pretty dubious about Nicks and Dew but after watching that I reckon those clubs are in good hands long term.

It’s a bit of a gamble for clubs to be involved in something like this, sure everyone wants the Richmond ending, but you can also expose a soft underbelly of your club to fans, media and potential recruits. Dangerous stuff!
