How do you get away with posts like this..? Seriously - what does this post achieve? What good does it contribute to this forum?

Are you honestly suggesting that Brett Ratten has no passion for Carlton?

Brett Ratten. As in former Captain, premiership player, B&F and current Coach Brett Ratten?

Even more poignantly, why do I let you bait me with such obvious trolling?

So many questions.

because you can't help but stick your nose in.

So many idiots

Not enough flames... or bullets
Cranium our resident African Arms Dealer has a small East African Nation as one big warehouse - there is always enough at the right price!

Good point... but the are a hell of a lot of idiots and some of them have really really thick skulls

Can't say I blame him when you post insulting and inflammatory remarks about a Carlton legend who has given a lifetime to the club.
If I were you I would think very carefully about what you next post.

ok i am thinking

to a public thread on a public forum.

Well done Einstien, add that to your application for a government grant. Oh dear :(

if that is the case then i should be allowed to say anything i like about any person associated with the carlton footy club without any repercussions. isnt that what forums are all about. to get different points of view across and voice your likes and dislikes about whats happening in footy.

Yes, but you seem to have something personal against Ratts.

You are unwilling to even soften your stance despite the evidence given against your point of view (Ratts 3 - Malthouse 1).

I would suggest going and taking up supporting such innocent games like lacrosse or curling where the forum posters wouldnt be at all offended by your rather inflamatory remarks.

Two give my two cents worth on the RATTEN issue. Everybody has opinions, and should be able to express them. If people don"t agree with them, they give their opinion on the matter which opens up public debate.Thats how life works! It only shows WEAKNESS when personal tripe is bought out to justify an arguement.ie Politicians .

Anyway I have just come back from Holidays had some time to reflect on our season. And this is the way i see it with RATTEN and co.

1. When Ratten was first appointed i for one thought their may have been better candidates out there to coach our great club.It looked like from the outside he was hastly appointed without exhausting all possible candidates.
I ask this question, was he the best canditdate for the job, what proccess was used in his selection, and which other candidates were interviewed for the position? I don'tknow but maybe some more enlightened beings on the the board do?

2. I think Ratten has done an okay performance in terms of tacking us from 15, 11 to 7. Looks okay from the outside. In my opinion he needs help on matchday ie tactics ,game plan etc. That is employing someone who has more experience in the skill bases mentioned.ie dean laidley type. Too many times this year we have been found wanting in making moves to change patterns of play during the game. Especially when other good teams have momentum , suffice to say the BRISBANE game. FREE flowing football does not win you finals. Totaly accountable football, has a better chance .

3.My hope is that as the players mature, differing game plans will be manifest in their physche and become automatic given the current situation. This requires a Commitment by the coaching staff and the players to be on the same wavelength in learning these skiills! Hopefully it will be achieved!

As for Ratten, I prefer it back in the Pagan days when we were getting smashed each week and the greatest achievement was to win a game - i loved the pain, the fact that attending a game was like visiting the ex to pick up the young one.

Now Rattan has come in and ruined EVERYTHING.
