With the talent that exists in the two squads it is unbelievable that these two clubs can play football that is that bad.

This game was a disgrace and goes a long way to explaining why City haven't won since the begining of November. both clubs are now in the relegation battle whether they like it or not and if they continue to play like this I would not be surprised to see one if not both of them get relegated.

It's hard to believe that a club can spend so much money and still be crap but City seem to of found a way.

On a lighter note for you guys, the Premiership preview show on FOX Sports yesterday afternoon had a special on Emerton and Neill!

It was a poor game, but I don't think the quality of our football has had much to do with our current run. We get nervous when we take a lead, and we continue to make silly mistakes at the back. We have played good enough football to easily win several games in this run.

Blackburn was a big surprise to me (sorry, not a good surprise mattyc), a side I thought who at the start of the year I picked as one of the top five or six in the league, playing route 1 football, and really creating nothing except for the goal (which I would put down more as a Man City error than anything created by Rovers). Route 1 has worked plenty of times against us, so it may have just been the tactics for that game, but if not I can see why they are doing so poorly.

Relegation battle hasnt started yet. Spurs were supposedly in one two weeks ago, and are now sitting 4 points of a UEFA Cup place. I doubt either side will go down. Wolves, Leeds and Leicester are still my pick.

I'm prepared to see how the season finishes up, top 8 was my pick at the start of the year and I still think thats were we will end. Provided the board, and the supporters show some backbone and support the manager and players who are putting the effort in, and are getting things right on the track we will be OK.

Switched off at half time and flicked over to Tottenham-Liverpool. Very average game. Blackburn are still feeling the effects of losing some quality players in the off-season, namely Dunn and Duff. At least they have an excuse (and they were on the road too.) Man City have just lost it. What is it, 13 or 14 league games or so without a win now?

Was the match televised?

I thought Anelka should have had a nailed on penalty shortly after our goal, but on the City boards they said there was nothing in it. They didnt show it on the highlights, so any insight would be appreciated (not that it will do much good).

Also the Macken off-side shortly after when he was supposedly in our own half, I saw the replay and thought he might have marginally crossed the half line when the ball was played, and was even more marginally in front of the last defender. Any thoughts on that would be appreciated as well.

Arsenal next, Chelsea and Man United coming up in the next month or so.

Betting on Man City is a fools game.

I don't "bet" per se. I am in a tipping comp with 90 others and the winner picks up a grand. I am coming 4th and the team I miss out on most of the time (even when I tip against them) is Man City.
