It’s been the theme for a fair while now, that performance against Sunderland is how we’ve played many games under Carrick, it’s just he’s got good results, but the football hasn’t been great.

I never considered that. Hopefully he doesn’t leave and is another academy player who is around for 10-15 years.

I wouldn't be shocked if we lost him, there is heaps of clubs trying to steal him.

With Carrick in the box seat to become our permanent manager, hopefully, they are going to bring in someone who can bring some tactical acumen to the coaching staff as well.

It's all well and good that Carrick knows the club inside and out, but we are in desperate need of some tactical coaching, especially, when we come up against teams who just sit back against us and let us have the ball.

I think it is inevitable that Carrick will get it and it is hard to make a case against it besides the concerns of history repeating.

Would prefer Tuchel or Nagelsmann but doubt they'll happen, hopefully we don't do anything stupid though and just give him a two year deal.
