It was nearly 10 years ago that Rooney left Everton, so our best hope is that it is now water under the bridge and they could work together.

No our best hope is that Moyes doesn't come.

Interesting from what Peter Schmeichel has said about SAF retirement.

'He's always said the day would come when something in his life wasn't right, is it is hip operation (he will have this summer)? I can't see him retiring over that.


'(Until) he explains why, we can guess and guess.
'There is something there we don't know about, he won't retire for the sake of retiring, it is difficult to makes sense of it.'

He's pretty much thinking the same things we are.

Moyes is out of contact so why would he need to do that?

As an Evertonian, it's going to affect our remaining two games now with everything that's happening. It could cost us losing a spot in the league for one, and it won't be a good aura to be around. If we lose our manager and then Liverpool finish above us on the final day, that would be rubbing salt into some deep wounds

TBH, i'm getting a bit excited now for next season. Shock has turned to excitement yes. Change is good and it's not like Fergie will completely be dissociated with the club. I'm looking to see what kind of signings we'll make too. It will be an interesting summer.

Along with City, Moyes's Everton have lost only once this season and have picked up more points at home than Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham with 39 pts from 18 games.

Their back 4 for most part this season, from what i recall, has been:
rotating RB, Distin, Jagielka, Baines

Fergie would have had a huge say in this appointment. We have to back the mans judgement on this.

Moyes has had several good seasons with Everton on a shoestring budget. So with that in mind he might do better than most think.

As for Rooney, he lost me a few years back when he had his grizzle....If you don't want to be at the club then I hope you do feck off. Your not bigger than the club!
