Guys, I'm not a member (but I was until several years ago) and I recieved an email (twice) invitng me to take part in the March to October ad filming on Monday. When I decided that (bugger the cost) I'll be part of flying the flag, I tried to RSVP but I can't manage to do so sucessfully. Is this because I am no longer a member and if so why did I get the invite (twice). I have booked a flight to Melbourne and I am definitely coming over so what do I need to do. Also, are any of you guys attending, because I would love to catch up with any willing to catch up with me.

Sorry magpiewarrior, can't help you with an answer to your question, but just wanted to pay homage to your dedication. :thumbsu:

Hope you enjoy the occasion and maybe catch up with a few BF folk.

PS are you a greying curly haired lawyer with a hairy chest, who used to unbutton your shirt, break into song and try and pass yourself off as Tony Pantano, in order to pick up chicks?

Nah mate my hairs well and truly grey but not curly, I have some principles (apologies to those lawyers and budding lawyers on this forum), my chest (if it can accurately be called that) is not something that I would want to show off, I can't sing (who is Tony Pantano) and (although I am heterosexual) picking up chicks has never been my strong point (sigh). Other than that I think you might know me.

Well maybe I do know you, cos I didn't know the other bloke...:)

Tony Pantano was some italian bloke who used to be a deep throated singer, a tenor I think. Was pretty famous-ish I think.

PS I do have a mate Chris over there, I did wonder if you were him...

Great to read MW.
I reckon if you just turned up you'd be In like Flynn.
I can't see them turning anyone away.
If you're really worried send an email off to this address collingwoodfc.com.au

I'm sure they'll welcome you with open arms.

Well I'm back home in Perth, The March to October seemed like a massive success to me. I'm now a member and on the wait list for Legends membership. Unfortunately I didn't catch up with any of you guys from this board (that I know of anyway) but wow what a crowd. Can anyone tell me if there was any crowd estimates done because to me it looked like about 8000 but it was very hard to tell from the middle of it all. How cool was it to be surrouded by that many Collingwood faithful with no hecklers at all. The atmosphere was great with everyone treating everyone else as almost family.
The faith is still strong all is looking good for 2001. To all that were there, thanks for being so welcoming, friendly and embracing.

Well done magpiewarrior, excellent effort, and glad it was so enjoyable.
