I think anyone left unsigned at this stage of the year is a good chance of leaving. I'm not saying either way but would love him to come to Essendon if he did leave the Saints. He's miles better than the last bloke we got from them. Would happily trade a second plus change for Windy and academy points.

Yeah this is how it's mostly worked at the Giants. Perfect time for his management to be raising the price after he's played a few good games. Applying pressure with some interest from other clubs.

I hope he's interested in a sea change. If the Saints keep NAS and bring in DeKonning and Aleer I can definitely see there being a crunch that lets him slip out.

I think there's a good amount of talent building there. He'd be handy next to Finn and Green though

Losing a key position developing guy like Aleer for Windy probably wouldn't have filled me with joy at the start of the year.
But given Aleer has had one foot out the door since half way through the year and Windy has shown a fair bit I'm happy with it.

Gut feel is you just pay what he is asking with Windhager. His contract demands are very reasonable when compared to others
