Glorious... for those two moments, the lid was officially off. I reckon the feeling we all got then was as close as most of us have ever got to knowing what a premiership feels like.

Lid firmly back on

YOTC at it again. Your sir are a legend.

My Man Blakey!!!

Thanks YOTC your a Champ!!!

How much did the crowd go off after the second goal!!

well it wasnt as big as the 1st goal bit still a big roar,
i love how he dogs varco and snaps that 2nd goal the only thing that could of made it any better is if there was a few dont argues

You know why I'm smiling right now? Because we've finally got it. We're composed, we've got a common goal, and we play for each other. Everyone on that team wants everyone else to do well. Seeing the team come from everywhere to congradulate the big man on his first goal was fantastic, and the coaching staff should be incredibly proud of the job they've done so far.

The best thing is, though, that the boys know they aren't finished. There's still a long way to go. They aren't letting up. That's why I've got Grand Final week off, I'll be in Melbourne from the Prelim till the big day. I've waited a short life time for this, and my dad's waited a long one.

YOTC. Once again you prove to be a dead set legend.

After seeing that and almost tearing up, there is only one thing that can top Blakey's two goals. It's under THE LID.

YOTC...sensational work as usual mate. Love it:thumbsu:

I don't think I've ever been this proud of one of our boys before. The way he's improved this year...well...the crowd and the reaction of his team mates tells the story as to how much we love him and want him to do well.

It's amazing what confidence can do for you, and his second goal is a perfect example of just that. Good on ya Blakey :D

Don't worry, I was the same!
I felt so happy like I was going to burst into tears.

Yeah I had tears in my eyes, was trying so hard not to let it become obvious. As a Geelong fan, I've never experienced anything that made me that overwhelmingly excited. I think a part of it was just releasing all the built up excitement that I've been bottling up all year. I think I'll have the same built up excitement come brownlow night and maybe even on that last Saturday in September... hopefully.

:thumbsu:Totally agree with that statement. For us younger ones that have seen the devistation of several losing GF's and never knowing the highs of a win, these moments were some of the best seen at the club in a long while. It lifted us all.

Thanks Blakey - You're My Boy!

That was on par with beating Collingwood. I had pins and needles going through me when he got his first goal. Love the way he was bundled over after he kicked it...he just looks so awkward and clumsy some times.

Funny how they were comparing Tomahawk to a young Plugger at the start of the year. There's no question that the Gazelle is the next Tony Lockett and/or Polly Farmer! ;)

yeah but you didn't go to school with him did ya??? :D

I can see Blakey in the future over a few beers reminicing with mates. "Did you see my second AFL goal? I must have been 60 meters out and just hooked it over my shoulder."
