Would only think about believing it if Mumford had a great game in the VFL yesterday. By all he accounts he didn't, and the VFL's done and dusted for the year.

Like it or not - Blake's got the second ruck spot for the rest of the finals.

Only changes left to be made for our (hopefully) two matches are Rooke and SJ in for Hogan/Byrnes (based on Saturday I'd say Stokes and Varcoe are safe unless either has a shocker in the prelim).

As much as I'd love to believe this (and don't dismiss the idea Blake will be traded later on), Geelong has nothing, absolutely nothing to gain by telling Blake either of those things this far out.

I can believe it - I am reliably told it was the player group who, sick and tired of Blake not doing the team thing, "had" him dropped earlier in the season. Difficult to recover when your peers don't have faith in you.

Why would you even bother posting this? Do you know how absurd it is? So you think geelong are unprofessional enough to declare to a player 2 weeks out from a game that he won't be playing in that game and that he will be put up for trade. This to the guy who has been out for a number of weeks and has forced his way back in due to Geelongs realisation they were being mauled in the clearances whilst he was not there.
Ofcourse you would declare that to a player that quite obviously lacks self-confidence and that will ofcourse not be needed in the coming weeks if god forbid Ottens or Mummy goes down! This sort of crap is what brings BigFooty down. Keep your crap rumours to yourself.
