my main concern with north Sydney is the drop in pitch moreso than the size of the ground. more life in the pitch and cut the grass a few mil longer and it's a completely different ballgame regardless of the size of the ground
 
I reckon it's still advantage NSW. They'll know how much to get and how hard they have to go. The Vics have to go for 380-400 (and are on track). If they collapse for 250-ish, NSW can basically cruise (if you block for 50 overs at North Sydney. you'll still make 200+).

If Maxwell gets lucky, the Vics could hit 450. The point is NSW will know exactly how to attack the run-chase. The Vics need to 0-for or 1-for after 25 overs averaging 7-an over before they are in front.

Always bowl first in a batsman-friendly game.
