WA win their 17th domestic 50 over title. And they win the hattrick of titles.

They have created a dynasty in winning 5 of the last 7 titles.

They skip 5 ahead of NSW, who have 12 domestic titles, QLD have 10 domestic titles and Victoria 6 titles.

WA sneaked their way through to the Grand Final but you could never write them off in a Grand Final. Make no mistake they werent favourites today playing in fairly unforeign territory but they were the better team. I wouldnt necessarily call them the best 50 over side this season as well. But at the end of the day its what you do on the big day that counts.

With WA winning their 17th title from 55 attempts at the One Day Domestic Cup. Im trying to compare what other sports teams in Australia have been as dominate? Thats almost 1 title every 3 seasons.

Struggling to think of any sporting team in Aus in a national comp that comes close to what this WA One day team has done at a domestic level.

NSW Breakers 20 WNCL titles in 28 seasons.

Fantastic effort by WA...struggled this year with injuries and players lost due to international callups

Scorchers have 5 of 13 titles, better hit rate than the 17 from 55 but obviously not as many years

And NSW have won 47 of 121 Sheffield Shields although there was about 30 years where there was only 3 teams states completing in it. Still they won 12 of the first 15 seasons after WA entered as the 5th team.
