Make no mistake they werent favourites today playing in fairly unforeign territory but they were the better team. I wouldnt necessarily call them the best 50 over side this season as well. But at the end of the day its what you do on the big day that counts.

Struggling to think of any sporting team in Aus in a national comp that comes close to what this WA One day team has done at a domestic level.

Scorchers have 5 of 13 titles, better hit rate than the 17 from 55 but obviously not as many years

And NSW have won 47 of 121 Sheffield Shields although there was about 30 years where there was only 3 teams states completing in it. Still they won 12 of the first 15 seasons after WA entered as the 5th team.
