I never understand in these scenarios why the bowling team doesnt hide the ball miles outside off or leg.

Come over the wicket and send it 2 feet down leg. Or if you are over, land it just inside the tram line.

They've already been wided today for negative bowling down leg. I'd say they'd think they would wide them again.
