Western Australia squad Sam Whiteman (capt), Cameron Bancroft, Hilton Cartwright, Keaton Critchell, Cameron Gannon, Jayden Goodwin, Liam Haskett, Josh Inglis, Joel Paris, Corey Rocchiccioli, D'Arcy Short, Charlie Stobo, Teague Wyllie

Queensland squad Jimmy Peirson (capt), Xavier Bartlett, Max Bryant, Jack Clayton, Angus Lovell, Ben McDermott, Gurinder Sandhu, Mark Steketee, Bryce Street, Mitchell Swepson, Callum Vidler, Jack Wildermuth

Do or die for WA, a loss or draw will make it hard to make it for them. Queensland are a mathematical chance but not more than that as they need everything to go their way for them to make it.

Possible sides:

WA:

Whiteman (c)
Bancroft
Goodwin
Cartwright
Wyllie
Inglis (+)
Short
Paris
Stobo
Gannon
Rocchiccioli

Qld:

Lovell
Street
Clayton
McDermott
Bryant
Peirson (+, c)
Wildermuth
Sandhu
Steketee
Swepson
Vidler

Hard to see anything but a WA win for me.

Possibly 5-10mm of rain (and 36 degrees) on Sunday so we'd want to make quick work of this of that comes to fruition.

That non selection seems to have affected Bancrofts form. Very light on batting this team is with Stobo at 7

There is no vacancy and even if there was, assume it would go to Renshaw.
At this stage there is a vacancy at 3,move Smith to 3 and a new opener. You might be right about Renshaw seeing he is in the squad now but at this early stage barring no injuries you would think 2nd test same 11 especially if Australia win the 1st.

Is Burns injured? Should be getting a game in this Bulls side

No, there isn't. Just because he's in a slump

He has been in a slump for a long time, how long do keep a player in that is in a slump.
Not really. His slump has only been this last year and even then he's "only" averaged in the mid 30's. You give him next summer to work through this.

There's no way in the world Labs is getting dropped.

Still averaging 50 in tests.
Not going to drop him for Renshaw who is averaging in the twenties in the Shield this year.
They seem to have gone past Bancroft.

Only one more test in the series and all will be forgotten.

Nice recovery from 4-60. If Inglis goes on and gets a good score it puts more pressure on Carey
