I think Milburn should go to Cloke. Harley is better when he plays closer to goal, Cloke leads up the ground a lot. Milburn did a job on Petrie who has a bigger body than Cloke. Harley can play on Rusling, always starting a metre or two in front to keep those quick leads under control. Far too strong in the air.

Seriousl I wouldn't be worrying about their forward line vs our backline. Start Scarlo on Rocca to keep Rocca's and the crowds confidence down. This game (as most) will be won and lost in the midfield. Ottens should dominate in the ruck and make their ruck accountable up the ground.

No need to panic, like I said in the Roo's thread, the best defense is a good offense. Worked last week, will work next week.

iid have Mackie on Rusling, he's no good and Mackie will just run off him and make him look terrible. have Scarlett on Rocca and do the same and Harley to take Cloke with Enright on Leon and Hunt on Medhurst who can be a bit of trouble. Rooke on either thomas/didak/bucks depending who plays mainly offensive out fo those three and Wojo floating back taking the spare.

A key is going to be filling the hole in front of Rocca, Cloke and Rusling. If we can cut off a fair amount of supply both through midfield dominance and through a loose man getting in their way, Collingwood will have no chance.

For this reason, I'd like to see Milburn not take a key post because he plays this role so well.

Heyah

I reckon we should watch O'Bree, Didak, Thomas and Davis the most. Didak can be extremely dangerous even though he may not really be in a game if u know wat i mean. O'Bree can do some freakish things. Thomas is an outstanding young player. Davis is a freak. IF we shut these guys down we will win i reckon. Their midfield is not up to ours and our backline is superb and our forward line extremely strong.

The only way the pies may have a chance is if they suffocate us. if its an open free flowing game we will win easily. So we have to make sure we dont let them dictate the play.

Ling -> Swan
Scarlett -> Rocca
Milburn -> Rusling - Milburn can run off him all night
Harley -> Cloke - Swap Harley/Scarlett if one of them gets on a roll

I think the key here is that if we have the opportunity to put the game away, we do it. Against the Kangaroos we should have been at least 2-3 goals up at quarter-time but were only 5-6 points thanks to 5-6 straight behinds. cant afford to do this against Collingwood, they are the best team in the comp at holding on to games and as long as they are thereabouts come three-quarter time, i would be worried. As long as we kick straight and win the midfield battle, we should get across the line.

What a massive game its going to be this week!

But the defensive matchups are going to be a killer

Scarlo -> Rocca
Harley -> Rusling
Milburn -> Cloke

Think we will really miss ego for this match. Would have been a good matchup for Cloke.

Will hunt get the job on a tall again?

Harley -> Rocca
Scarlo -> Rusling
Milburn -> Cloke
Rusling can actually run so this might be better for your boys..won't matter though we still have Didak, Lockyer, Davis, Daisy, Burns and Pendles who can put a score on the board...I would be more worried about these players as I am sure that the coaching staff expect your boys to tie up the big three.

Scarlett on Rocca, Harley on Cloke and Mackie on Rusling. The rest of the backline will sort themselves out. Ling to shut down Swan again and the Rooke v Bucks match up is ideal. Remember when Rooke played on Harvs early last year when Harvs became the Saints games records holder. Rooke beat the absolute crap out of him whenever he got the pill (which wasn't too often mind you). I'd love him to do the same to Bucks, put him off his game and hurt him going the other way.

In the forwardline try and get Chappy to drag Clement back to the square, then lead hard and fast. This is where we exploited Archer last week. It also means that if Clement has another nightmare disposal wise (he stuffed a fair few on Friday) Chappy will certainly let him know about it.

Interesting to see if Burns comes up. Reportadly hurt his hammy or ankle (depends what paper you read) so do they take the risk with both he and Fraser?

Sh!t I hope we win, iv got alot of mate who follow collingwood and i dont wana hear t from them giving it to me. Plus I hate Collingwood. Up the mighty CATS

Wouldn't bother with Pendlebury, he gets it a lot but even under slight pressure he doesn't use it well. Thomas is more dangerous. Again, I'd look to make him accountable.

Have you ever watched Pendles play - this is funny :-)

Sorry was reading through and couldnt help but respond to that one!!

Who's going to match up on medhurst? Possibly hunt but I'm not to sure about that maybe enright?

hunt definitely for medhurst, unsure about enright but I had this random feeling hes going to have a whale of a game

Also agree with the rooke and buckley match up, just the player to lay some hamstring quivering tackles all game..
