Matchday 1. Didn't take long for the monotonous shitfight to start
Look the important thing is that both Spurs and Arsenal are behind Liverpool :)

Pretty poor from Keane IMO. Players want to look good as well as play good, and United have had Beckham and Ronaldo, who are both very much in love with themselves but that didn't stop them becoming some of the all time greats.
Beckham and all time great in the same sentence?? :drunk:

Beckham played with the biggest clubs in the world over a very long, successful career.

He's not top 5 material but he's a great of United I would have thought.

Don't have a lot of time for penaldo, but he was the hardest working trainer at United.

He's vain, selfish, arrogant and egotistical but he never prioritised glamour over football.

Beckham was never a great imo, and it was his commercial value more than anything that is responsible for his football reputation. But he was also an incredibly hard worker, and some would say he got the most out of his natural ability.

Arsenal players may be the same. Loving the spotlight doesnt mean you can't be professional and a good worker.

Just the generation though isn't it?
End of the day it probably comes down to results on the pitch. If you guys were having the sort of success we were no one would be questioning anything.

Disagree. Wouldn't even make United's top 20 players of all time.

His off field persona and celebrity has made his on field legend grow when in reality he wasnt a great player. Very good, sure. But not great.

Happy to agree to disagree with you there, Jodly. :thumbsu:

Disappointed with the lineup. Kelechi and Denayer on bench but no Lopes and again MP prefers underdone senior players to kids that have been doing a job in the pre season.

Looking forward to seeing how Sterling gets on. Obviously hoping for the 3 points but might have to wait a while for the academy revolution.
