I watched the first half today and could've sworn I saw Matt Egan pick up 2 or 3 possies. The AFL website listed him as having doughnuts all around (0 0 0)

Was I seeing things? How did he go after half time?

I thought he was pretty good. Did a fair job on perrie and managed to save us in the last few minutes.

A few fumbles, especially in marking contests, but I'll take it with the rest of his performance. Was fairly good considering the circumstances, especially when the pressure was applied late in the 4th.

Deserves another chance.

As I said in my match report, I thought he made a few mistakes which directly cost goals. That is to be expected given the pressure of the game and his inexperience. It was good to see him charge forward late in the game and rebound from defence. With Harley injured, we need him to get better each week though.

I thought he did a fair job. Lets face it , he's not a bloke whos played a heep of footy, quite a bit up side in Egan.Needs to work on his right foot,can still get stronger, all the obvious things but will get a lot better if we can keep him in the side.It will cost, think of all the stuff ups that David Clake did, well Matty will do a few too but he is KKP, he, in 50 games will allow us to free up Scarlo. He's far more a natural backman than Mooney.Look today Moons had the ball tried to bounce when should have just kicked towards the boundary, Egan will learn to play within his limitations and be a tall nullifing backman if we give him time and let him make mistakes

He is stunning in the VFL, and really needs a few weeks at AFL level to show his wares.

I like the way he goes about his footy.

His attack on the ball in the last quarter was very gutsy.

All he needs is to be given 6-7 games to prove himself.

Lets face it Playfair had 20 ordinary games but he is now showing some good signs. Gardiner has had a heap of chances and you guys are still living off those 2 goals against Brisbane in the preliminary final.
