He was sensational on the inside today. Got so many contested ball.

That "soft" label has to be dropped after today's perforamnce.
Downhill skiing is all well and good but are you confident he can stand up when our structures break down? I was for the last 2 years until 2 weeks ago. I want to see what he's got when our backs are to the wall.

Selfish game with barely any targets hit. How many of his 42 touches were turnovers.

Spell in the WAFL needed.

Disposal efficency in the 80's. :thumbsu: I agree his kicking inside 50 was pretty average. But that was universal today.

I have to chime in here, Rosa has never been any different. He is soft as butter, shirks contests and just bombs long at every opportunity.

Brown just isn't a League Player sorry. When he went up for a mark with one arm I just thought out loud - HACK!!!!!

Its all good though, we were never going to beat Essendon with those outs anyway.

Hadn't seen this before.

LOL on both accounts of both players.

You watched those couple of marking attempts/attacks on the ball last week, didn't you? Yes, I know you'll come back and say but when our backs are to the wall. I thought our backs were against the wall in the first half.....

I have no doubt he started the season off behind many others coming back from that knee injury late last year, I recall he had a couple of minor setbacks throughout the preseason.

It's taken 8 games to start hitting his peak fitness levels, just you watch the next month or so if he can stay uninjured he will start reaching the form he showed last year.:thumbsu:

Last week he was good when it mattered but still not a real test. Today the whole team held firm. I'm still worried that if things really do go pear shaped and our midfield is getting smashed, will he change from an outside to player and put his body on the line. I'd like to see a bit more before I'm totally comfortable about him.

I ask again, did you see those marking contests last week? When St Kilda were coming in the third? This myth that he doesn't put his body on the line is just that, a myth, but, continue on. ;)

That was me being polite to those who keep saying he is soft. In some way I'm trying to enlighten them, get them to open their observatory senses, not view through beer focals. :thumbsu:

I thought he was dead in one of those contests, expected to see the undertaker scraping his carcass off the Subi turf.....
Great call.

Worked his guts out today in a very tight contest. Super intensity and derby pressure, yet he found the ball, ran hard and most importantly used his smarts when setting other players up.

From the press conference seems he has been struggling a little with a few niggles, but hopefully is getting back to a similar level to his 2011 form and fitness (maybe even improve on it).

Rosa' is just keeping the spot warm :) Freo paid him no respect and he had a a day out. When he stands up when we are getting flogged like Waters and Glass only then will I concede my position on him.

Good game today by Rosa - That I will admit.

Rosa was in great form last year before he got injured and is starting to hit that form again.
He will have an outstanding year if he stay injury free, he just keeps running and running. I am absolutely stoked with our wingmen at the moment, Gaff like Rosa just keeps on running and when he is tired runs some more, outstanding game by both wingman in particular Rosa.

Even posters stating that today the soft tag gets dropped, rubbish. He hasn't been soft for a good 2 years!

Again today he went hard back into a pack into our defensive 50, outnumbered and caused a spillage to clear. His disposal was fine today, his kicks are quite creative if you pay attention, a lot of little chips out of tight space. His kicking into the forward 50 wasn't that bad, freo had the loose man, not to mention the flood working for the entire game.

He ran hard, very hard, he and Gaff in tandem are nearly unstoppable

Very impressed with him and deserved the Ross Glendining medal. Wearing the number 24 jumper today was a significant motivation to play well for Worfold's milestone game. Best player today.

One very good game. Good on him. He has a place in the side but he needs to bring this form forward and stand up in games we loose as well as win.

He's not bad considering he would be our 7th mid imo.
Kerr, Priddis, Scooter, Shuey, Gaff, Masten

Equally it was only 1 poor game that led to the roast, if we compare apples with apples? ;)
