Just so you dont have a coronary - he was a speculative pick, hes a midfielder, we have plenty and rate the likes of Edwards, Connors, King, Hartigan ahead of him, hes the type we can afford to let go and try again with.

....or we could hang on to him, give him time to develop as most other clubs would do, and potentially reap the benefit of our patience if/when he becomes a regular senior contributer.

I reckon he shows a bit, and at worst he would be a depth player for us in the future. If we just gave him away, it would just make space for another speculative pick that may not make it either.

was pretty solid in the finals for Coburg, Id hang onto him for another year, there are plenty of others to axe ahead of him...Hyde, Howat etc

Whitey played well during the VFL finals and is set for a big preseason once he is back from op on his ankle this week.

He has been carrying an ankle for about 2 months and playing on injections, but the way he was still running and tackling hard, you wouldn't know.

He had six injections before and during the VFL granny

Big season needed next year to stay on the list though.

Showed a lot of heart during the finals series and while his kicking isn't the best I have noticed that it doesn't actually decrease much under pressure. He comes from a passionate Richmond family and I am happy with how he has performed in the 2nd half of the year.

Needs to work on footskills while running at full pace because his flair is exactly what Terry wants.

Matty has been fantastic this year!

Really happy for the kid because alot of people didn't think he had what it takes to play AFL.

The guy was a Tiger supporter growing up so he has the passion to play for the club and his work rate stands out!

Hopefully he can stay in the team!

I was one that wrote him off. I still have my doubts as he still has his moments where he lacks that awareness but right now he suits our gameplan to a tee. He runs his arse off, tackles hard and his kicking isnt horrible so his selection is warranted.

Nice to know he was a Richmond supporter. I must say without knowing i thought he was a Saints fan after the game Vs. Saints as he was shrugging tackles like the great Harvey and noticed he was also wearing #35 but that must have been my mind going of in a tangent.
