Can someone explain why this bloke gets so little game time?

I was at the game yesterday and thought he was dominant whilst he was on in the first and fourth quarters. Good around the packs, smart and his disposal is generally good.

So is Neil Craig a knob or is there another explanation?

Cheers

I agree mate, you wont get much support on here though mate he is a very maligned player on these boards.

I am a big fan of his, Adelaide cries out for an inside midfielder and when one presents everyone wants to banish him. His disposal is questionable at times, but he is also a goal kicking midfielder and could be a valuable crumbing forward if given the chance.

I thought he played pretty well yesterday in the short time he was given on the ground, I think people on here just highlight his mistakes too much, every player on the field will make mistakes but Bode is crucified. This may come down to the way he was brought to the club as we paid well over the market price but its time to move on, thats the clubs fault not his.

I'm no fan but he did enough in the last quarter on Sunday to get a game this week.

More than I can say for Doughty of Skipworth.

Before the last ten minutes yesterday he was on borrowed time in my view

In those last ten he was sensational. It was no suprise to see him on top of the ball when the srien blew.

I think he is a good bet for a good game against Port this week

Wold love to see him play well consistently.

Totally agree. I've been one of Bode's most vocal critics on here in light of his performances in recent years, but in that last ten minutes he was superb and had a big say in who went home with the four points, despite the fact he was awful prior to that.

Should he translate that work around the stoppages into a four quarter performance then Scotty Thompson has found a much needed ally in-and-under for the coming weeks.

I thought that it was Scott Thompson on the ball when the siren sounded.

Bodey has a big heart and he aint afraid. That gets him ahead of a lot of supposedly more skilled players at this club. And he can kick both feet....how many in our side can do that with confidence!

Bode is a footballer who polarises supporters. He is small and is not blessed with pace. He is as good a ball hunter as just about anyone BUT he has some deficiencies. HIs disposal is questionable. He has a tendancy to kick around his body when the pressure is on to no one in particular. He also tends to loose his feet in the contest.

Having said that he has a HUGE heart and at his best, his positives far outweigh his negatives. Before 4th quarter he was on borrowed time and mixed good with bad. His 4th quarter is the type of footy Bodey plays at his best. Thats the sort of play I want from Bodey. He was simply superb in the 4th and to me he was one of the main reasons we won the game and came back from a 10 point defecit.

Traded for pick 12 - what a waste.

Agreed. Happy with his last quarter on Sunday stood up to be counted when it mattered, but someone really needs to teach the boy how to kick, very unreliable.

I doubt after all the years he will learn how to kick. He should handball more.
