Kim Hagdorn obviously thinks so in his season summary piece for the Sunday times. He also thinks Clayton Collard was a "wasted" pick!? At pick 36??

Why can't we get some decent writers who actually know something about Freo???

He also said Chris Smith was at risk for getting delisted . Smith has been in good form in the WAFL at the moment.

Hagdorn was obviously working from the "impact must match that of Aaron Davey is his first season or it's a wasted pick" theory.

Absolute peanut......Collard has shown plenty in the WAFL, and while he looked a little lost in the AFL game he played, he needed more time to settle into his role. No point calling him up for one game like that IMHO. WAY too early to be calling Collard a wasted pick.

Haggers is an absolute peanut. No disagreement there.

I dont mean to overly critical and by no mean am I agreeing with Hagdorn, but Collard was dropped to reserves for the last part of the year at Souths.

He needs a big pre-season and must hold his place in the dogs league side to have his contract renewed at the end of next year.

You dont keep blokes on a list if they are playing ressies.

Was a disappointing end to the year for him no doubt, in some respects I think calling him up for one game like that was the worst thing they could have done to him. Think it robbed him of momentum and hurt his confidence. Possibly got used to having Farmer and Sampi alongside him for a period of time too, and when they both went out of the side, he drew all the attention of WAFL defenses. Looked good against the Sharks the other week, again not a consistent performance but the life of a forward pocket I guess. When he did get into the game he looked dangerous.

Hagger's expects Matt Carr to get a two year deal, if he does I'll be furious. It's not like he's going to do a Solomon if we only offer one year.
