I disagree.
Bontempelli is a massive step below the level of Carey or Ablett. Those guys busted apart matches on a weekly basis.
Is Bontempelli a better player than Dangerfield?

Carey 1993-2000 was a colossus. Compare that period of dominance to what Bontempelli's done and it's night and day.

Maybe a step below, but not by as much as people think. Bont has been an absolute star for a decade, and (to me) easily the best and importantly, most consistent player of the last 5 years.

The best player since 2000 to me is still Ablett junior (by a mile), then Bont. He's been as good as anyone or better for a long time now. His longevity at the one level is superior to just about anyone else from the last decade. Others have had 2-3 year spurts, but none have matched him the whole way through.

How you could have Fletcher over Archer is a bit disrespectful. Not overly, but a little bit.

Agree with the rest.

Fletcher was a great player, but G Archer is an absolute legend and is one of first picked.
