I think that Geelong played a game that was very close to ours. Hold it, and handpass back i.e. have that player back behind the play in case he gets in trouble. When we went for the ball and it got knocked loose there always seemed to be a Geelong player picking up the loose ball and driving it forward.
We don't have many attacking players in our midfield, a lot of them are defensive. Oh then there's Dessie, he's not either !!
But the point is we need a couple more risktakers in there ala Haselby. That goal last week was vintage Haze, and we need more players to take risks.
M Carr, Crowley, McManus (he takes risks but just doesn't have the skills), have been good but they don't hurt the opposition. I thought Duffield at times look good, not consistently, but sometimes.
Therefore, the chaNges I would make are WALKER, HEADLAND out !!

Might get him in to some form, and will give him more of a chance. A few times today the umpires completely ignored a couple of free kicks. Its just a suggestion, but he can play midfield and he does get the ball.
Still certainties to be dropped should be WALKER, HEADLAND.
Farmer might have to come in if Connolly wants to keep his job !!
