the fact is if he put his knee up and his hands in front of him he wouldn't be on the chopping board right now

Exactly! Absolute no intention for the ball just the man.Joffaboy said:Just saw the replay. Grant was in mid air and targeted Max's head with a tucked in elbow. No intention of going for the ball. Could have pulled out of the hit. Absolute Dog act.
I have always felt sorry for Grant missing the Brownlow in 97. Not anymore. Should get a couple for his dog act.
Had to protect himself, nothing in it.Joffaboy said:Just saw the replay. Grant was in mid air and targeted Max's head with a tucked in elbow. No intention of going for the ball. Could have pulled out of the hit. Absolute Dog act.

he should have at least gone for the mark instead of looking straight at max and lining up his headmorgoth said:Joffa about time 'Max' learnt to protect himself which is all Grant did, Grant di not see him until he was in the air, whats he meant to do leave himself open so he is in hospital instead?
You are the most blinkered poster on this board.
morgoth said:Sometimes I wonder whether anyone on this board ever pulled on a boot.
Special_Op_2005 said:If he goes then the system is totally ********ed. To even compare that to the amount of weeks Pickett got is a joke
Shouldnt even go up
jezza said:Grant had to jump for the mark, he would have been dragged if he had made no effort simply because an opponent decided to throw himself back at the ball. Grant had to assume that Max wouldn't get there and take off for the mark. Once you're in the air, you can't change direction, all he changed then was to bring his arm in to protect himself.
Megan said:Heh knowing the LGH as I do, if he's seen a neuro before midnight he'll be lucky.
Bobby Beecroft said:Surely Grant will not go, was trying to take the ball on his chest & Maxy courageously backed into him. Unfortunate accident no more no less.
Grant infact tried to spin his body once he realised contact was imminent, in an attempt to decrease the impact. That said the Co@khead commentators would have Grant hung & quartered, amazing that 2 key forwards would choose to take this line of attack aginst Grant.
BTW can BT tell the difference between Bandy & Darcy ??? How many times can he stuff it up??
morgoth said:So in the .5 of a second Grant had to position his body he deliberately targetted him? He was already in the air when he saw him, watch his friggen eyes! You are watching it is slow motion and assuming he had all the time in the world, self preservation, noting more.
Sometimes I wonder whether anyone on this board ever pulled on a boot.
he will get reported dont worry about thatSpecial_Op_2005 said:Saw a similar incident with Lloyd and J.Cloke a couple years back, of course this is a new system and Essendon get a more than decent run, but that wasnt reported.
Munga said:I'm pretty sure jumping off the ground to bump is considered charging.
Can't really see him getting off.
With you on that one ,their not real quick.Megan said:Heh knowing the LGH as I do, if he's seen a neuro before midnight he'll be lucky.
jezza said:Yes, but jumping off the ground to MARK isn't considered charging.
