I'm on because I absolutely don't rate Brando as a real G1 sprinter (I know he looked it last year but still think that win in France was a semi fluke) and he has come up fave. Needs to be wining this to be anywhere near it at Ascot. Think he has a penalty for his Coolmore win (English flat season is October-to-October so assume he carries a penalty for dropping back to G2 having won a G1 already this season).

Will be including in a trixie with worlds best sprinter Battaash in the Temple at Haydock and Gustav Klimt in the Irish 2000 Guineas (was all the rage for Newmarket and now seems to have been forgotten off a run that wasn't all that bad I thought - could be classic rope a dope from the Lads).
Nice one P - took rock bottom odds, but he won in contrast to all the massive overs I got about Saturday runners who are still running now... :thumbsu:

Guineas winner looked hard to have?

Good win but you guys make it sound like he won by 3-4 eased up

Agree - I thought he was very workmanlike more than anything else. Admittedly Aiden can improve them 5 lengths just by clicking his fingers when they get to Ascot but I'd rather be on the locals at this stage.

Yeah I got unders too - obviously their wasn't much stable confidence that he was ready so maybe some decent upside heading to the Royal meeting

Wouldn't even pick that Guineas winner if I'd already seen the replay - 25/1 was poison unders! The Irish Guineas can always throw up a random result (see again with fillies edition overnight) given there isn't much depth. If Aiden's don't lob it can generally be a complete lottery.

Pakistan Star. What a champ

If they place him right he shouldn't lose too many more races over there. Good to see he can put a good performance back-to-back too.

On another note - gee the fishbowl 2400m ranks make it look like Australia has a bunch of Arc horses running around - embarrassing race.

Also while I’m on horses that were once “one of mine”

Southern legend. Name is enough.

;)

Haha did manage to get that G1 - thought he might have to go to Macau or Argentina but Singapore is I guess semi ok :p

Interesting placing re Iconoclasm in the last. Was sure he’d go for a spell after last start. Anyway, IF he can handle the Valley, then whatever they are betting is good enough

$2.25

Redkirk Warrior has been nominated for the Sussex Stakes at Glorious Goodwood over the mile.

It's generally the first race where the best 3yo miler meets the older horses - needless to say he couldn't win if he started now.

would be a good lol if it won though!

Promising colt Higher Ground has died during a stomach operation

Deserved - somehow beat Tangled when I was on in the Frank Packer Plate and then got spanked by Dark Dream (subsequently beaten by camels) when I jumped on in QLD

RIP
