MCG - Jam/Jelly Donuts

Why doesn't every ground have the donut stand like at the MCG?

ALL grounds sell meat pies, drinks, but not all sell them delicious jam/jelly deep fried donuts - there great!!! At AAMI Stadium they don't, and assuming at other venues either.

Not enough jam in them these days - probably too many spurts in the past...but its the lack of jam which means i don't buy them any more. i'll never forget the day i got overchanged by a sweet $15 one day either

At Elizabeth oval in (surprise surprise) Elizabeth, Home of Centrals, they used to sell dinkum dogs and jam donuts but the b@stards couldn't tow the caravan they used to sell them out of so thy scrapped the van...

At AAMI Stadium you can get nachos.....which is a nice touch, and my old amateur footy team would sell Port because it would get so cold in the hills in winter games.

Bought a couple of the lil things on the way back from the Essendon win on Anzac Day... .damn tasty!!!!

I think they have them avail at the ground though from the snack shops at Telstra Dome.

Man, those things are drenched in sugar. You take them out of the bag and sugar flies everywhere. A couple of weeks ago, a little snot Sydney supporter kid kept giving me **** when Sydney got a goal, so about 5 mins into the last Qtr when the Bombers were up by 41, I bought some donuts, shook the bag and the wind did the rest. The kid complained and their whole family left.

It was priceless.


But yeah those donuts are great
