Who do you think is the better mark?
Theyve both been pretty good this year and mark the ball in differing circumstances. Perrie on a lead and McGregor in defence.

I favour McGregor because when watching the ball head in his direction I feel pretty confident in is ability to "one" grab the ball.
He must have hands like buckets.

Definitely McGregor for consistency. As a CHB should, he goes for the spoil on most occasions and he only goes for the mark when he has the advantage.

When he does go for it, he's a strong one grab mark as you say TJ.

Interesting question.

It's really horses for courses. Perrie looks lost at sea in defence, and McGregor similarly at CHF. I think Perrie is a better mark in a proactive sense - demanding the ball, playing in front, on a lead. McGregor has the upper hand in a reactive sense - sticking with his man, judging the flight as it comes in, not making the play but reacting to it. Kenny's probably slightly more likely to bring the ball down out of a pack of players than Perrie is.

Perrie can mark both defensively and offensively

McGregor when he plays as a forward fro some reason often lets the ball hit him on the head rather than mark it. Frustrating.

So I say Perrie and for gods sake keep Kenny in defence where he belongs.

think Marvin has hit the nail on the head in that they are a different type of mark. When we recruited them, wasn't Kenny recruited as a key forward & Sarge as a key defender?

Yeah I was thinking the same as marvin. I'd go for Perrie on a lead (still not the most reliable), and McGregor at stand-still overhead.

I go for Perrie because I am of belief that it is much harder to take a mark as a key forward than it is as a key defender. Perrie has proven he can take a mark up forward and lately he has been taking them consistently (I think he leads our club in contested marks). McGregor is what I call a good "defencive mark" but as Jars said he is useless up forward, he lets the ball hit him on the head. Perrie can mark at either end of the ground.
