I'm suprised no-ones mentioned this fellas game , has attracted an unusual amount of critisism for someone that's been averaging more than 25 possies a game in yellow and black...Is quick, rarely gets caught and generally uses the pill well...I like the boy, if a few of the youngsters can do the same , we're well on the way with getting on top of this run and carry game :thumbsu:

Still think the young man with the surname Selwood would have been a better long term proposition...:o

SKILLS are smooth BJ...we just ain't used to seeing them from guys in yellow and black. here's hoping a few guys turned the corner yesterday.

But I think Jordy suffers from the usual Tiger fans backlash against any player we recruit from rival clubs.

Believe me, there would have been fans turning on Judd had we been lucky enough to land him, after his first couple of games.

It's the natural reaction from Tigers fans to guys we snare from other clubs.

Think it's best to look at these type of recruitments in isolation.

Not every player we recruit from other clubs is a Ben Marsh, or a Kent Kingsley, Billy Nicholls or Shane Morrison.

Don't lump them all in as one.

Jordy will be a solid contributor for five to seven years!!!:thumbsu:

As for Selwood...well we could have landed him at pick 18 but we took Rance.

You can't pick them all! That's the nature of the draft...you need to be selective!

He is hitting targets again? His main attraction is he can kick off either foot at full speed, but the last couple of season he was missing targets and if he isnt hitting targets he doesnt have anything else to back it up, as he is a pretty poor defender.

Is he still playing in defence or have you guys moved him to a wing?

for the first time in a long time we have blokes who can hit targets UNDER PRESSURE! hitting targets is one thing but under pressure is another and its been a massive problem at richmond for too long, we have relied on guys like tiv and bowden to get into space and use the footy
but jordi actually uses the pill well in traffic
take a look at his kick to richo early in the game
Richo leads fremantle player was in front so richo doubles back
Jordi delays the kick gets pressured and still kicks it too the advantage of the forward who marks and runs into goal
also handballs in traffic very well especially to a running player
pretty good year so far for jordy

He played on a wing mostly and was very very good. His run and delivery on the left foot is terrific. I've always thought he is a good player in a good side but even last week he was very good. Im sure he will have his off days but i can't criticise our recruiting of him at this stage. Is good to watch and i think the forwards will appreciate him being in the team. Selwoods are perhaps a little overated. The twins have had a handful of good games between them, Joel is quality, and i know nothing about Scott. pick 19 for jordy was a safe bet.

Why worry about the Selwoods? Cam Ward is who we got with pick 19. Kid has only just turned 18 and is going great guns for Williamstown. Lives a drop kick from the Western Oval, feelgood story and all that. One to watch for sure.

I dont think Jordie has ever got 30+ posessions before, so he must be doing something right down there.

I havent seen the game yet but Im told by a doggies fan that he is a bit soft in defence and doesnt like the heavy contest. I havent see nany evidence of this yet so maybe its a bit unfair.

Cant wait for the nameing of the team this week will be very interesting to see which changes stick

Wait untill he starts turning the ball over at half back

I am glad he left the kennel as he is soft under pressure. He is a good outside receiver though when things go his way, but we have enough of those types.

He needs to back it up with a performance when the chips are down..

Exactly right

Everyteam needs a few outside recievers and these are generally the players that get bagged by supporters when things are going bad.

Jordon is quick, skillfull but when things start to go bad he isn't a player you can turn to in times of need. Too many times i have seen him turn the ball over when he should've hit the target.

Anyway best of luck to him in his new career at Richmond.

I'm looking forward to booing him come Sunday, aswell as Judas and Wallet:D:D:D:D:D

It's all ok to do it one week but the previous 2 weeks were abysmal. We couldn't hit the side of an A380 airbus!!! We need to do it week in/week out before we can claim to have turned the corner. The next two weeks are a real test where we're playing 2 sides undefeated, one of which is almost unbeatable. If we capitulate again then all the positive work from yesterday is again undone.

Go do a search on the dogs forum. I was happy when he decided to leave us. As i said, we had enough soft outside recievers like Jordon. We needed more grunt.

Just have a bit of respect...that's all.

You guys come over here and post garbage like that and get a good run.

Mate, you go on to your forum and say one half bad word about a Dogs player and you get banned!

I just think you should have a bit of respect and post sledges at our guys knowing you'll get away with it.

All three - Wallace, Brown and McMahon - gave your club great service. Leave it at that!!!

You're happy he left, good....but don't come on here posting crap about him!

well seeing as you had enough of them, thanks for giving us one to get us going.
We had the grunt, but we needed what you gave us.
We needed a star and he came to us, rather than listen to you dogs, go woof woof..____ing woof. Like if ever there was a prize for tools of the century it has to go to a bunch of supporters who go woof woof woof, as their way of getting the atmosphere going....like get the ____ outta here, i feel sorry for you guys.. ;)

We'll just leave that to your own fans

McMahon always looked like he was going to be a player, but suffers from a serious lack of footy intelligence. When he's got the ball and running with his hair and mo flowing in the breeze he looks the business, but come delivery time, he too often makes the wrong decision, turns it over etc When he doesn't have the ball, he rarely does the hard things (1%ers) The Bulldogs probably more than any club loves their quick mid sized runners, so there was reasoning behind McMahon getting his marching orders. He couldn't hack it.

He'll serve your club well, but he'll rarely win a game for you, he'll rarely turn a game and almost never do the hard stuff.

He has looked good in all games this year, sure he didnt play great in the first few but his class is desperately needed at Punt Road. could be a vital cog coming off half back or on the opposite wing to Richo this season if he backs up

As a defender he just isnt good enough at defending. As a winger, he had never worked hard enough to get anything like 30 posessions before. Who the hell was he playing on?
