Melbourne vs Geelong

Huge match for us this week. If we can knock off the Cats on their home soil we'll be 7-1 and looking good for a Top 4 finish.

Geelong, however, have the wood on us in recent years, and are in pretty good form themselves. Can we win at Kardinia for the first time in 16 years? I bloody hope so.

Geelong dangermen are: Graham, Kingsley (always kills us), Kelly, Ablett and Ling. King is a chance of returning too.

I'm not all that confident we'll win, but here's hoping...

hey guys, should be a great match. Demons playing better than geelong (hawthron were cr@p, but if wed kicked straight..) but you guys have beaten Port and Sydney.

I guess as far as Geelongs concerned if we're going to play finals we need to win games like these wons. 50/50 on home soil, should be a great game though and if you are coming down i'd book some seats as capacity is reduced due to renovations

i think vardy will get the nod ahead of sylvia who has only played 2 sandy matches if im correct? still kicked 3 and 5 in them though

McDonal looks like he might be ready to play this week, if that's the case then;

Sylvia to be given more time with Sandy to improve his fitness and run out whole games in the middle.

i doubt mcdonald or sylvia will come in coz both are coming back from injury and need mroe time in sandy colours

vardy and bizzel will come in i think replacing carroll and heffs (if he gets a week which is likely)

Sylvia was BOG for Sandy last weekend, but im sure its going to take a couple more games before he can be introduced. I don't see the necessity to change the side that much, and carroll probably should be given another game. Its just that west coasts forward line is so small (height and strength) that nicholson and carroll didn't have the best matchups. Our backline in the 4th qtr was the smallest ive ever seen.
I think if mcdonald and/or bizzell are 100% healthy bring them in, bizzell im sure would want to play against his old side.

Doubt it was serious, otherwise Willo would've been rushed on to the extended bench. Dogga used to pick up soft tissue injuries at the drop of a hat early in his career but he's one of the more durable ones these days, so I'm tipping he'll be fit 7 firing again this Sunday.

I have a ticket as well, taking no chances. Get behind the goal at the Ford Stand end & get vocal for Sandy & the Dees!

It'd be a nice double & we get to see Sylvia, Bell, Johnson, Smith & Hunter before the main game.

10:30 start for Sandy so get in early & get a good vantage point.
